Twin Cities Orthopedics Welcomes Sports Medicine Physician, Christie Heikes, M.D. to Medical Staff

Minneapolis (August 4, 2008)Twin Cities Orthopedics announced today the addition of Christie Heikes, MD to their team of physicians. Dr. Heikes will specialize in sports medicine. She is a board-eligible orthopedic surgeon with fellowship training in sports medicine. Dr. Heikes will see patients at Twin Cities Orthopedics’ Minnesota Sports Medicine clinics located in Eden Prairie and Minneapolis.

“We are excited to welcome Dr. Heikes to our practice,” said Troy Simonson, administrator of Twin Cities Orthopedics. “Dr. Heikes brings a great deal of skill to Twin Cities Orthopedics. She received her fellowship training through Minnesota Sports Medicine fellowship program and is already involved with a large number of sport programs throughout the area.”

Dr. Heikes received her undergraduate education and medical degree from the University of Minnesota. She completed her orthopedic surgery internship and residency at the University of Minnesota Department of General Surgery and Orthopedic Surgery. Dr. Heikes also completed a sports medicine fellowship at Minnesota Sports Medicine.

Dr. Heikes is board-eligible with the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery. She will see patients at our Eden Prairie and Minneapolis Minnesota Sports Medicine Clinic (775 Prairie Center Drive, Suite 250, Eden Prairie) and (701 25th Ave. So., Minneapolis).
