Joseph P. Nemanich, MD

Dr. Joe Nemanich is a partner in Twin Cities Orthopedics with 19 years of experience practicing in the South Metro. He is a board certified orthopedic surgeon and a fellow in the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons.  He specializes in total joint, complex total joint replacement. In particular, he is experienced in revision joint replacement and also has a special interest in robotic assisted joint replacement.  He also offers management of various musculoskeletal conditions, including cartilage and ligament injuries, arthritis fractures and sports injuries.

A native of Minneapolis, Dr. Nemanich attended St. John’s University in Collegeville, MN where he received his undergraduate degree. While there he also participated on the hockey and rowing teams.  He went on to earn his medical doctorate at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee. Dr. Nemanich completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, where he developed an interest in adult reconstruction and published research articles focusing on joint replacement. His training also includes sports medicine and orthopedic trauma.  He has been active as the team physician for Eagan and Burnsville High Schools.

Dr. Nemanich is currently taking a break from team coverage to follow his four kids who are active in sports and activities.

The apple didn’t fall from the tree, as Dr. Nemanich’s brother and father were also surgeons in Twin Cities.

Knee care, specializing in knee replacement and revision knee replacement surgery including robotic assisted knee replacement.  Also, meniscus surgery and ACL reconstruction as well as other sports medicine procedures.

Hip care, specializing in hip replacement and complex hip reconstruction surgeries such as revision joint replacement, deformity correction, and fracture care

Ankle care, including fractures, sprains, and other acute sports injuries

Ashley Meyer, PA-C, is a board-certified Physician Assistant and joined Twin Cities Orthopedics in 2013. She works exclusively with Dr. Joe Nemanich, and sees general orthopedic patients in the clinic and hospital as well as assists Dr. Nemanich in the operating room.
