Laurie Humiston, OTR/L, CHT, has practiced in the care of upper extremity orthopedic injury for nearly 20 years. She graduated from the University of Minnesota with a Masters Degree in Occupational Therapy. She believes education is critical in helping her patients understand their injury and rehab course. This empowers them with the tools and confidence they need to be successful in their recovery. As one of the founders of TCO’s mentorship program, she has broadened her passion for education to the benefit of growing a strong, skills-based team of Hand Therapists within TCO. She enjoys spending time with her family, swimming, knitting, doing yoga and teaching.
