I had a horrible fall that dislocated my shoulder, tore my rotator cuff, and fractured a bone. Dr. Schmiesing is an excellent surgeon and answered all my questions. His team is also great, and phone calls were returned very quickly. My shoulder is so much better. I highly recommend him.

Surgery and recovery went smoothly with no problems. The rehab process has also been a great experience. Many have said that you will wonder why you waited so long to have the surgery, which I did not believe at the time. Dr. Andrew Schmiesing listened to me and understood the importance of my scheduled vacation. He discussed the options to relieve my hip pain. Together we came up with a solution, which would help me walk without pain, and not delay hip replacement. Shortly after my trip, Dr. Schmiesing replaced my hip. He worked to get me scheduled quickly, so I could be ready for the upcoming pool and golf season. He took into account how important my activities are for me. In addition, he adjusted the length of my right leg with the replacement to match the left side previously replaced, which was 1/2 inch longer. Now I do not have to wear the lift in my shoe. I also appreciated seeing the X-rays and questions answered. Soon, I’ll be back on the pickleball court too!

Dr. Schmiesing was phenomenal all the way through, from my initial knee consult until my last appointment with him. I first went to see Dr. Schmiesing after a referral from a colleague whose daughter had recently seen him. I was able to schedule with him almost immediately and from the very beginning he was very welcoming and helpful. He explained everything to me thoroughly, and his entire team was always so responsive and helpful anytime I needed anything or had questions. I would definitely see him again, if needed, or recommend him to friends or family!

Dr. Andrew Schmiesing was my orthopedic surgeon for my total knee replacement. As it turned out, I was anything but a typical patient. I had trouble managing my pain because I struggle with opioids. Dr. Schmiesing called me every day until we could find the right combination of drugs. He went above and beyond the call of duty. He offered great advice and had a great bedside manner to ease my anxiety. His care team of Skyler and Sydney were also great. I always had such a quick response. No one wants a second TKR, but if needed, I would not hesitate to have Dr. Schmiesing preform that surgery. Thank you, TCO. You made such a difference in my total care and healing.

Given the complexity (in my mind) of this procedure and everything it entails, I am amazed at the efficiency, thoroughness, and level of care at all stages. Dr. Schmiesing did my surgical knee replacement. Of course, I had some trepidation about the procedure and the recovery. It was a much easier surgery than I expected and the after-care is wonderful. Being 5 weeks out, I feel I am progressing quite well. I was bone on bone for years and it was time to get a new knee. Dr. Schmiesing performed the knee replacement surgery and I was walking the same day, with help of staff, who were very helpful and caring. It was a great experience from the first visit until the last. It’s been six weeks since surgery and I’m walking an average of six miles per day. Dr. Schmiesing did a great job with the surgery and the follow up care. The EXCEL Program was a lot of help too, along with my physical therapist, Jacob. I would have this surgery all over again, if needed!
