Steven D. Meletiou, MD
Steven D. Meletiou, MD, is a fellowship-trained, board certified orthopedic surgeon who specializes in injuries and conditions of the hand, wrist, and upper extremity. He is one of only a few dozen orthopedic surgeons in the country who holds subspecialty certificates in both hand surgery and sports medicine. Upon completion of an orthopedic surgery residency, Dr. Meletiou received fellowship training in hand and microvascular surgery.

About
Abigale (Abby) Gabrick, PA-C, MPAS, is a board-certified Physician Assistant specializing in orthopedic surgery. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Physiology and Biology from the University of Minnesota before pursuing her Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies and undergoing training at Des Moines University in Iowa. In 2008, she returned to her hometown of Saint Paul, Minnesota, where she became a part of TCO.
Abby has extensive knowledge in many areas of orthopedic surgery. Initially, her primary focus centered on general orthopedics, where she treated conditions related to the shoulder, hip, knee, and ankle. During this period, she collaborated with Dr. Steven Meletiou in treating hand and upper extremity conditions. Since 2012, Abby has exclusively worked alongside Dr. Meletiou as part of the hand team.
Abby’s role involves clinical evaluation and treatment, including the performance of clinical procedures such as joint injections, assisting Dr. Meletiou in surgery, and helping to manage patients in the hospital and in outpatient clinics post-operatively. Abby’s passion lies in patient education, helping individuals optimize their return to functionality while minimizing discomfort, enabling them to lead healthy and active lifestyles. Additionally, she has taken on the role of mentoring other Physician Assistants and PA students.
Abby and her husband, have three children. In addition to spending time with her family and friends, Abby enjoys running, cooking, gardening and being active outdoors.

Dan has worked with Dr. Meletiou and Abigale Gabrick PA-C since he joined Twin Cities Orthopedics in January 2009. He has worked in the medical field for the past 16 years. Dan prides himself on ensuring that patients receive the highest quality of care. He is a point of contact for patient questions and concerns, educates patients on their conditions, treatment options and assists with surgery scheduling. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with family, friends and summer trips back home to Detroit Lakes, MN. He is an avid golfer and a die-hard Minnesota sports fan, especially the Vikings!
