Difference Maker: Grey N.

When we ask patients and their families about their experience at TCO, we often hear it’s the little things that make all the difference.

Every month, we recognize a team member who went above and beyond to make a difference in the life of a patient. Often they did something that, if you asked them, “was no big deal,” or “is just part of their job.” But the truth is, their actions inspired others around them.

As a small token of our appreciation for making TCO a better place, we partnered with local artist Claire Ward to create a one-of-a-kind piece of art featuring an image of the recipient’s choosing.

Today, we’d like to thank Grey (pictured with his mother) for being a Difference Maker.

Grey’s Story

Looking over at his struggling co-worker, Grey knew he had to help.

Recently, this particular co-worker had suffered a traumatic brain injury and was having difficulty reading and scanning lists.

Known for his integrity, Grey took matters into his own hands and came up with an innovative solution for his teammate.

By laminating a paper cut tool with a hollow rectangular center, Grey’s co-worker was able to read line by line, significantly alleviating the strain on their eyes.

At TCO, we pride ourselves on delivering exceptional teamwork and high-quality service. Through this simple, but thoughtful act, Grey not only made work easier and more enjoyable for his co-worker, but it also meant a great deal to them personally.

Thank you, Grey, for your integrity, innovation and kindness. You inspire us all!
