The Twin Cities Orthopedics Bioengineering Lab (TCO Bio Lab) is located inside the Innovation Center on the Viking Lakes campus in Eagan.
Dedicated to achieving world-class outcomes, the lab features state-of-the-art technology and resources. Physicians and researchers can conduct industry-leading research studies and training.
Bench-to-Bedside Research – Research often takes years to affect how patients are treated. However, the goal of the TCO Bio Lab is to have a more direct impact, with research focused on improving patient care and outcomes in the immediate future.
Bioskills Training – This dedicated space for surgical training provides our faculty, fellows, and researchers the opportunity to pursue answers that ultimately enhance patient care. From honing surgical skills to improving procedures, the lab offers education programs and opportunities for vendors to host lab sessions and conferences.
Robotic Joint Testing – This powerful research tool is found in only a handful of labs and is used to perform mechanics testing on cadaveric joints.
3D Printing – This innovative technology allows prototypes to be created in the lab and is essential for research.
Collaboration with Training HAUS Sports Science Lab – Located next door, the Sports Science Lab at Training HAUS, powered by TCO, is nationally-recognized for excellence. Together, these innovative, industry leaders will work to gain a broader understanding of joint mechanics.
