Catalyst Sports Medicine to become a part of Twin Cities Orthopedics

Hudson, WI (March, 4 2020) Twin Cities Orthopedics (TCO) will expand its presence in both Hudson and the surrounding St. Croix County community by integrating Catalyst Sports Medicine into the practice.

The move, which becomes effective April 1st, 2020, brings two like-minded organizations together and will increase patient access to services and experts.

“Being part of a larger organization like TCO allows us to provide stability for our employees in this time of healthcare reimbursement uncertainty,” said owner and CEO of Catalyst Sports Medicine, John Knutson. “We plan on continuing to provide the best care for patients, just like we have done for the past seven years. Early access to physical therapy, good communication and the emphasis on teamwork will not change.”

Clinic Director J.W. Matheson, DPT, will be maintaining his ongoing presence. “I’m excited to continue serving the community alongside our current staff,” Matheson said. “We’re proud of the relationships we’ve built, and will continue to work with patients, athletes, families, and teams in the Hudson area. We see this as a great opportunity for staff and providers to continue to grow in their careers.”

On September 1st of 2015, Catalyst opened the doors to the newly renovated 22,000-square-foot facility located on 2.5 acres of land. It includes an expanded PT clinic and performance training center and also a 10,300-square-foot indoor turf training center which sets Catalyst apart from all other therapy clinics and gyms in the region.

Today, Catalyst employs 20 team members including physical therapists, PTAs, athletic trainers, massage therapists, strength coaches and administrative and customer service personnel.

“Catalyst Sports Medicine has a great foundation and tradition in Hudson and the surrounding communities,” Vice President of Therapy and Sports Medicine Chris Bailey said. “We have respected their work for a long time, and through their high-level of patient care and quality outcomes, we saw them as a partner with a lot of synergy. We’re excited to deepen our roots in the Hudson community, and this partnership will broaden the overall scope of offerings at TCO.”
