Parker J. Hanson, DO
What are a few interesting facts that people may not know about you?
I was born and raised in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. I am an avid golfer and started playing at just two years old!
My wife Erin and I have two children, Cooper (2.5) and Quinn (1 month).
Why did you go into medicine?
I knew from a young age what a clinician did. They help people, and I knew I wanted to do that.
How did you choose Orthopedics?
I chose Orthopedics because I have been involved in sports my whole life and have been fortunate enough to have fantastic mentors in the world of sports medicine making it a really natural fit. Additionally, staying active brings me joy. I want to do anything I can to allow my patients to continue whatever activities bring them joy as comfortably and effectively as possible.
What is your care philosophy?
My care philosophy revolves around a partnership between the patient, myself, and the patient’s care team. I love working with the patient to identify their goals then activating our team to help them achieve it!
What does your dream practice look like?
My dream practice would include the opportunity to work with patients in the clinical setting while also supporting our Sports Medicine community by working closely with high schools, colleges, and professional teams. I plan to continue expanding my knowledge so that I am able to provide patients with the best procedures and treatment options available.
Dr. Hanson will practice at TCO’s Eden Prairie & Edina – Crosstown locations.
