Twin Cities Orthopedics breaks ground on Woodbury clinic
Twin Cities Orthopedics, the Twin Cities’ leading provider of orthopedic, sports medicine and wellness care, broke ground on its newest clinic in Woodbury today at 4040 Radio Drive.
The groundbreaking ceremony included leaders from the Woodbury community, including Mayor Mary Giuliani Stephens, the Woodbury Chamber of Commerce and representatives of TCO.
The new, 50,300-square-foot, two-story campus scheduled to open in fall 2017 will include an orthopedic clinic, as well as a sports performance and sports injury prevention space and state-of-the-art physical therapy services. TCO will also continue performing surgeries and other limited procedures at the Woodwinds Health Campus.
Troy Simonson, Chief Executive Officer of TCO, said: “TCO has been serving the Woodbury community for more than 15 years and we remain dedicated to offering the people of Woodbury the highest-quality care. This new clinic is a great example of this commitment and dedication to grow and expand high-quality orthopedic services in the Southeast Metro Area.”
TCO has been serving Woodbury patients since 2001 from its 3,500-square-foot practice in the Woodwinds Health Campus. The creation of a new clinic offering sports injury prevention as well as orthopedics and physical therapy in Woodbury is a much-needed expansion of services in a quickly growing area.
The new clinic will also provide prosthetic and orthotic services from Minnesota Prosthetics and Orthotics.
Dr. Thomas Comfort, TCO board member and East Metro Orthopedic Surgeon, noted that the new facility will expand spine, total joint, foot and ankle and hand therapy services: “We will provide new innovative services to Woodbury residents to help prevent and treat sports injuries,” he said.
