Construction continues on new TCO Blaine clinic, surgery center

Things are taking shape in Blaine, thanks to continued construction at the new Twin Cities Orthopedics location scheduled to open June 11.

Services inside the 48,000-square-foot facility located at 11225 Ulysses St. NE will include a clinic, Orthopedic Urgent Care, sports performance, and physical and hand therapies. The location also will be home to the Blaine Orthopedic Surgery Center.

“The community of Blaine has been wonderful to work with over the past few months as we have been developing our building plans,” TCO North Metro Region Chief Operating Officer Rob Simmons said. “Twin Cities Orthopedics looks forward to engaging with the Blaine community by providing a broad spectrum of services and access to meet the area’s orthopedic needs.”

Recent work

Last month, drywall work in the operating rooms was finished; restrooms on the third floor were tiled; the second floor was sheetrocked and taped while framing happened on the first floor.

Features

The new location will feature clinic programming tailored to various orthopedic specialties as well as sports medicine. Additionally, there will be on-site care suites that cater to TCO’s EXCEL program, specifically total joint replacement.

“This facility will bring sports performance and rehabilitation under one roof,” TCO Director of Sports Medicine and Therapy Chris Bailey, PT, DPT, OCS, said. “It will be a one-of-a-kind facility in the North Metro.”
