Burnsville Family Physicians moves into new location
Burnsville Family Physicians has moved its practice into the first floor of the Minnesota Valley Professional Building, located at 1000 W. 140th St., Suite 100, in Burnsville, in the same building as its partner, Twin Cities Orthopedics.
Burnsville Family Physicians has served the community since 1982. Independent physicians Barbara Sterner, MD; Laura Scherf, MD; and Chris Clark, MD, are board-certified in family practice, providing primary care services for patients of all ages. Burnsville Family Physicians comprises 18 team members – five providers and 13 support staff.
“This move is a natural fit for our patients,” Dr. Clark said. “Our independent practice model allows us to continue to ensure excellent patient care and outcomes while carefully managing costs, and the state-of-the-art facility in the same building as TCO Burnsville further enhances our patients’ experience with convenient access to specialty services.”
The new location gives Burnsville Family Physicians the opportunity to realign its space to be more efficient and deliver better patient service by centralizing the lab and with additional exam rooms. Its facility also features new equipment — such as a chemistry analyzer — to generate same-day test results for patients. The new location provides for many efficiencies and gives the providers the opportunity to share resources with TCO.
“We’re excited to welcome Burnsville Family Physicians to our TCO Burnsville building,” TCO physician Dr. Randall Lewis said. “Their entry into the facility increases efficiency to deliver excellent quality of care for local patients.”
