Difference Makers: Andrew Poffenberger

When he’s not trekking through any number of cross-country ski trails, Andrew Poffenberger can be found at any number of Twin Cities Orthopedics locations documenting patient visits. His willingness to do what it takes to provide you with the best possible care is what makes Andrew one of our Difference Makers.

Let’s learn more about Andrew.

What is your title and role?

I am a medical scribe working on Dr. Steven Meisterling’s care team. We work out of Stillwater, Vadnais Heights, Lake Elmo and St. Croix Falls. I document all of Dr. Meisterling’s clinical visits, joining him in the exam room and taking notes in real time. This allows for the doctor to focus directly on the patient.

Favorite thing about working at TCO

My care team! I joined TCO this past summer, and everyone on our team was so welcoming and professional. We work well together and have fun every day!

How do you make a difference?

TCO strives to provide world-class, compassionate care. This care starts at the front door. Sometimes that means grabbing a shovel to clear the sidewalk. Making patients feel welcome and the center of our attention matters.

Favorite things outside of work

I have been a cross-country skier and ski coach for years and love to get outside for adventures with my fiancée.
