Difference Makers: Rachael Jensen

Rachael Jensen, a clinical assistant at our Burnsville location, thinks fast on her feet. When she got to Orthopedic Urgent Care one morning and discovered the daily computer system was down, she improvised and was able to use an older, limited computer program to track patient arrival times, monitor their progress and get them to see a provider quickly. The move enabled staff at the front desk to continue their daily routine without interruption until the full system was back online.

Rachael’s innovation, teamwork, and dedication to patients makes her an undisputed Difference Maker. Thank you, Rachael!

Now, let’s learn a little more about her.

Difference Makers: Rachael JensenWhat’s your title and role?

Rachael: I’m a clinical assistant in Burnsville and responsible for rooming patients, getting a history, prepping the patient for X-ray, removing or applying splints or casts, removing staples or stitches, and any other tasks the physician may need to keep the clinic flowing efficiently.

Rachael: I help get patients in rooms in a timely manner and make sure the physician or provider has any and all pertinent information to treat the patient as efficiently as possible. I try to maintain clear communication between all parts of the care team and clinic staff so patients can receive the best care possible.
