Introducing TCO’s Newest Fellows

We are thrilled to welcome Sports Medicine Fellows Dr. Nathan Jacobson and Dr. Erik Slette, and Foot & Ankle Fellow Dr. Ahmed Attia to our practice for the 2023 – 2024 academic year.

Dr. Jacobson was born and raised in South Dakota and comes here by way of South Dakota Mines for undergrad, the University of South Dakota Sanford School of Medicine Medical School, and the Mayo Clinic for his Orthopedic Residency. He is married to his wife, Breanna, and they have two daughters, with another daughter expected in November. They are looking forward to their year in the Twin Cities before returning to Rapid City, South Dakota to begin his practice in their hometown.

Dr. Slette was born and raised in Moorhead, Minnesota, and attended the University of Minnesota Medical School-Duluth. Following his second year of medical school, Dr. Slette worked in the biomechanics lab at the Steadman Philippon Research Institute. He completed his last two years of medical school at the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities before moving to Austin, Texas to complete an Orthopedic Surgery Residency at the University of Texas-Austin. Erik, his wife Morgan, and their four kids are thrilled to be back in Minnesota.

Dr. Attia was born in Germany and moved to Egypt with his family. He went to medical school at Assiut University in Egypt and completed his ACGME-I accredited Orthopedic Residency at Hamad Medical Corporation in Doha, Qatar. He is dual fellowship-trained in orthopedic foot and ankle surgery. Dr. Attia holds a postgraduate diploma with merit in Clinical Education (PGDip ClinEd) from the University of Edinburgh in the United Kingdom and has authored over 30 peer-reviewed articles and book chapters since completing his Research Fellowship at Cleveland Clinic Florida in 2013.
