Eric J. Bobel, MD, is a board-certified physician in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation and Sports Medicine. He specializes in the evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of a wide range of sports medicine and musculoskeletal conditions. Dr. Bobel uses advanced techniques, including ultrasound imaging and electromyography (EMG), to accurately identify underlying issues and guide treatment.
Raised in Plymouth, Minnesota, Dr. Bobel attended Wayzata High School before earning his undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin–Madison. He completed medical school and residency at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, followed by a Sports Medicine fellowship in Tyler, Texas. During his fellowship, he cared for NCAA Division II athletes at the University of Texas at Tyler, working with multiple teams, including men’s and women’s basketball, soccer, track and field, volleyball, baseball, and the national champion softball team.
Outside of work, Dr. Bobel enjoys spending time outdoors with family, friends, and his golden retriever, Beau. He also loves playing golf and soccer and watching all kinds of sports.
