Jane M.

I had a knee replacement done by Dr. Holmberg. The outcome was amazing. I had no bruising or swelling immediately after the surgery and none to follow. My incision is literally like a hair line as all the stitches were underneath the skin. My treatment from Dr. Holmberg, his staff, and Mercy hospital was superb. I have to have my other knee done in a few months and next time around I won’t have the fear and anxiety prior to surgery. I am confident that everything will go well.

I am a fairly healthy 48 year old female who was suffering a lot of pain in my hips and low back. I had been to the chiropractor many times and received some minimal relief. I finally saw my general practitioner who really didn’t take me seriously but ultimately agreed to x-ray my hips at my request. The result was arthritis in both hips with bone on bone in the left joint. My GP sent me to physical therapy which I did for 5 weeks with minimal results. A friend of mine suggested I see Dr. Holmberg and so I did. Dr. Holmberg reviewed my charts and talked to me about options and we decided on surgery for the left hip. I was very scared as I had never had surgery. Dr. Holmberg was very reassuring and I was confident in his skills. The staff at the clinic was kind and helpful, the class I took prior to the surgery was extremely helpful. And the hospital staff were amazing. I was back to work 2 weeks after surgery and only using a cane to assist my walking. I followed the exercises daily and walked a lot to make a full recovery in less than 12 weeks. I am 6 months post-surgery and my left hip is AMAZING! I highly recommend Dr. Holmberg to anyone who asks me about my procedure.

I had an ACL reconstruction in 2008 and both hips replaced in 2015 by the age of 40. I have always been a very active person and my arthritic hips were preventing me from doing the things I loved – even having my niece sit on my lap caused me unbearable pain. I have regained strength and stamina. I am able to play sand volleyball with friends, walk and bike to my heart’s content, and chase my nieces around. I was also able to return to my job as a PE teacher and move around with students. I have been able to return to intense workouts at the gym and have been doing a lot of leg strengthening exercises (squats, box jumps, stair master, jacob’s latter, etc). I’ve attached a video of me from a couple weeks ago doing a 36″ box jump with relative ease. I haven’t been able to jump like this since high school. I’m now a 43 year old man with a new ACL and two replaced hips, jumping three feet off the ground. I’m able to be active and enjoy life again thanks to Dr. Holmberg and TCO.

I received a new hip from Dr. Holmberg and I am up and moving again. Dr. Holmberg stayed with us even after finding an infection in my femur. Was very helpful and supportive from start to finish. Thank you very much.

I had both of my hips replaced a couple months apart by Dr. Holmberg who was an excellent surgeon and wouldn’t have had it any other way. Every person I dealt with during and after my surgeries was kind and caring, making sure that everything was in my best interest.  I was waking in no time at all and am pain free.  Many thanks go out to Dr. Holmberg and the EXCEL program for all l they did to restore my health.

I would like to thank Dr. Holmberg and the entire staff at the Fridley and Shoreview sites. Honestly, I was seeking a second opinion and thought I would go back to the first doctor. After my first appointment with Dr. Holmberg, I made scheduled my surgery. He is knowledgeable and explained my options and made me feel comfortable in my decision. I am 5 weeks out and doing fantastic. I commend Dr. Holmberg and all of the staff at the surgery center, Marnie (excel program). my nurses at Bel Rae, all the PT( Mike, Nathan and Ben) , Ashley at the Shoreview site. I am sure, I am missing someone and I apologize. I praise your program to everyone I know, they are as amazed as I am with my progress! I am looking forward to hiking! Thank you TCO~

TCO and Mercy Hospital managed my surgery sensitively and professionally with lots of education about expectations, and aftercare management that must have been honed over lots of time because it was flawless. Love my surgeon, Dr. Holmberg and his TCO Fridley clinic.

Judi N., who is pictured using her longarm machine, suffered a broken arm which kept her from being able to work. With the help of Twin Cities Orthopedics, Peter Holmberg, MD and the Fridley team of physical therapists, she is now once again able to assume her full job responsibilities.” I am so thankful to each and everyone who treated me,” she said. “I would highly recommend Twin Cities Orthopedics to everyone I know.”
