I am a 63-year-old male with a lifetime of playing the electric guitar. I started when I was 3 years old after I discovered a Christmas present that was hidden but not yet wrapped. It has been my life-long passion, and just to illustrate this fact, from mid-2023 to the end of 2024 I logged over 740 hours of practice time, actual fingers on the fret board. Yes, I actually log every hour of practice.
I started having difficulty with numbness in my fingers in 2024 and it progressively grew worse. I started waking up at night with an agonizing burning sensation in my hand, and then I started to lose the ability to perform. I started trending down in logged hours as I gradually lost my abilities little by little, as I experienced more and more discomfort and numbness. For someone this dedicated to my craft, I cannot tell you how devastating that was. I was losing my ability to even feel the strings.
When I made my appointment to meet Dr. Dwivedi, I must admit I was quite nervous. But I was soon impressed with the doctor and his staff as he really listened to my explanation of my symptoms and the fear of never recovering my former abilities.
It’s been two weeks today since my surgery, and I recovered so much of my tactile senses immediately, as it improves steadily as the days progress. I had NO PAIN after the surgery, none at all! In fact, I started playing guitar by the second day after my surgery!
I can only say that I am truly impressed, and I will not hesitate to see Dr. Dwivedi again, and much sooner if my other hand starts to give me trouble.
Thank you Dr. Dwivedi!

I recently had carpal tunnel release surgery on my right hand performed by Dr. Shashank Dwivedi. I couldn’t be more pleased with the experience. From the very first consultation, he was incredibly thorough, caring, and attentive. He took the time to explain everything in detail and made sure to answer every question I had, putting me completely at ease.
Dr. Dwivedi’s friendly and professional demeanor made the entire process smooth and stress-free. The surgery itself went exceptionally well, and the follow-up care was just as impressive. He continued to check in, ensuring my recovery was progressing as expected.
I highly recommend Dr. Dwivedi to anyone in need of carpal tunnel surgery or any other hand-related procedure. His expertise, compassion, and dedication to his patients truly set him apart!

Dr. Shashank Dwivedi deserves both my gratitude and admiration for not only his skills and knowledge but his exceptional interest in each patient.
I first met with Dr. Dwivedi following a serious fracture to my hand and wrist resulting from a slip/fall. Having been a very physically active person up to this accident, he wisely guided me through my options of treatment and helped me select the one that would best help me reach my end goal along with speed of recovery. When one is confronted with a major injury, it is not only a physical challenge but also an emotional one. His calm and assuring manner along with his skill and knowledge benefited me greatly. I now have complete bone healing and am continuing with my physical therapy to obtain full range of motion of my right hand and wrist. I am able to use my computer again and have been doing core strength training! He takes excellent care of patients. I consider myself blessed to have had him as my surgeon.

Three months ago, Dr. Shashank Dwivedi performed surgery on my injured pinky finger joint. Previously, I was barely able to bend my pinky. Now, three months after the surgery and hand therapy I received at TCO, I can bend my pinky in a fist. It seems just about completely back to normal. I think Dr. Dwivedi did a great job, and I am very happy with the results.

I am so thankful I found Dr. Dwivedi when I went to TCO Urgent Care after a bike accident and the resulting thumb problem. He had such a wonderful way of explaining and watching that I actually understood the procedure needed. He was able to get me into surgery within two weeks and I am so happy with everything – the process, his demeanor, his knowledge and patience. I have to look pretty hard to find where the surgery scar is. My mobility and thumb strength is amazing too. I highly recommend Dr. Dwivedi. He is an excellent hand surgeon and I feel so fortunate he was at the TCO Urgent Care when I stopped in for help. Thank you so much Dr. Dwivedi!

Dr. Dwivedi provided me with excellent service in resolving my carpal tunnel issues with both hands. He explained what it was, how it affected my hands and wrists, what the surgery entailed and what to expect post-surgery. He answered all my questions and I was completely satisfied with the experience. His care team was outstanding and set up appointments for surgery, post-op and therapy as well as complete pre-op instructions. I highly recommend Dr. Dwivedi and his care team members at TCO for orthopedic problem resolution.

My hand feels so much better after surgery. I am able to sleep so much better. The pain is really missing now. Dr. Dwivedi was so easy to communicate with and listened to all my concerns. The surgery went so well on my left hand and I’m having surgery on the right one too. Many thanks to Dr. Dwivedi and his wonderful staff.

Dr. Dwivedi was very straight forward with diagnosing my injury and the severity of it. He thoroughly explained the options I had and I chose surgery. I am currently 10 days post-surgery and my hand is healing very fast! I’ve had no complications and he has guided me through the steps required to heal the fastest, which I am doing. He is an excellent surgeon and a great guy, so I highly recommend him.
