St. Croix Orthopaedics Welcomes Second PM&R Physician in September
St. Croix Orthopaedics, P.A., (SCO) welcomes its second Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) physician to the practice in September. Nancy A. Henry-Socha, M.D., MEd., will start seeing patients in early September at SCO’s clinics in Wyoming and Lake Elmo, MN.
“Dr. Henry-Socha is a key addition to the PM&R team, contributing to its non-operative musculoskeletal rehabilitation work both within and outside the SCO Spine Center,” said Melanie Sullivan, Ed.D., CEO at St. Croix Orthopaedics. ” She will work closely with Dr. Eric Kirksson to ensure patients receive comprehensive, non-operative support for a multitude of conditions.”
Dr. Henry-Socha received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology from the University of Minnesota in 1990, a Masters of Education Degree in 1996, and was a high school Biology and Physical Science teacher for 12 years. In 2005 she returned to the University of Minnesota School of Medicine and received her Doctor of Medicine Degree in 2009. She completed a Residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Minnesota in 2013, and a Fellowship in Pain Medicine at the University of Washington, Seattle, in 2014.
Dr. Henry-Socha is board certified by the American Board of Physical Medicine and rehabilitation and is board eligible in Pain Medicine.
In addition to her careers as a teacher and now physician, Dr. Henry-Socha also earned a Masters of Agriculture Certificate from the University of Minnesota in 1999, after which she established a landscape design/build firm specializing in native plants and environmentally sensitive landscaping. That interest continues.
