TCO athletic trainer featured for work with Eastview football team
She doesn’t wear a helmet and pads, but Mairead Griffin, AT-C, shines with an important role on the Eastview High School football team. The Twin Cities Orthopedics high school athletic trainer makes sure the members of the Lightning are healthy and ready to play each practice and game, and she’s the first person to help when a player suffers an injury.
She’s more than a Minneapolis sports injury specialist, too. “The Flash,” Eastview’s weekly news magazine, featured Mairead and highlighted the connection she has with the team.
“The kids like her, and they’re willing to go to her with issues,” Kelly Sherwin, Eastview head coach, told “The Flash.”
TCO is the Official Sports Medicine Provider for Eastview and several other area high schools, colleges and pro teams.
