What are a few interesting facts that people may not know about you?

I have an amazing wife and three boys who I love to spend time with. Our favorite activities include finding new parks, swimming, riding bikes, playing sports, and sledding during the winter. When I am not spending time with my family, I enjoy training for triathlons, which has become a great competitive outlet for me.

Why did you go into medicine?

Medicine gives me the opportunity to blend my interest in science with my passion for helping and serving others.

How did you choose orthopedics?

I chose orthopedics so I could help people return to the function and activities they love.

What is your care philosophy?

My goal is to ensure that each patient has a full understanding of their condition and all treatment options. Together, we consider their goals and unique circumstances to determine what plan of care best serves their needs.

What is your favorite quote?

“We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit.” – Will Durant

Dr. Bircher will practice at TCO’s Maple Grove, Plymouth, and Robbinsdale locations.
