TCO Welcomes New Physician Dr. Justin Walker
Join us in welcoming our newest physician, Justin A. Walker, MD, to Twin Cities Orthopedics.
Dr. Walker joins TCO as a board certified, fellowship trained Trauma and Adult Reconstruction surgeon. He completed his residency at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, and orthopedic trauma fellowship at Reno Orthopedic Clinic in Reno, Nevada. Dr. Walker specializes in non-operative and operative treatment of simple and complex fractures of the upper and lower extremities. His interests also include joint replacement of the hip, knee, and shoulder. Prior to joining TCO, Dr. Walker worked as an orthopedic trauma surgeon in Reno, Nevada where he also served as a faculty for the Reno Orthopedic Trauma Fellowship, helping train the next generation of orthopedic trauma surgeons.

What are a few interesting facts that people may not know about you?
I was born and raised in Louisiana, and have remained a die-hard LSU Tigers and New Orleans Saints fan.
Why did you go into medicine?
I went into medicine because I have always enjoyed science and problem solving. A career in medicine allows me to combine these interests in a way that provides a noticeable benefit to patient’s lives every day.
How did you choose orthopedics?
I chose orthopedics because I enjoy fixing things and problem solving. Orthopedics provides me with a career to do both. I also have the opportunity to help restore function for patients and see those results every day.
What is your care philosophy?
I follow a problem-based approach, recognizing that each patient’s clinical “problem” is unique. By applying an evidence-based approach to care and prioritizing the patient’s beliefs and wishes, I strive to find the ideal solution to each patient’s clinical problem.
What does your dream practice look like?
My dream practice is an orthopedic practice with strong community ties that provides comprehensive orthopedic care and continues to evolve and improve to ensure the best possible outcomes for its patients.
Dr. Walker will practice at TCO’s Edina-Crosstown and Robbinsdale locations.
