It is with the highest regard and gratitude that I write this testimonial on behalf of the incredible Dr. Scott McGarvey and his remarkable staff at Twin Cities Orthopedics. I was thrown from a horse November 1, 2013. As I sat in a field and looked at my ankle which was at 90 degrees, I knew I would need to see Dr. McGarvey – the only doctor I would consider – he had taken amazing care of my Mother for many years. My ankle was so severely broken that Dr. McGarvey was concerned that I’d even be able to walk properly. His expert surgical skills have allowed me not only to walk but to also run again! During the recovery period, Rhodora encouraged me to text or call her on her personal cell phone – unbelievable personal attention and care! I will be forever grateful to Dr. Scott McGarvey and his staff for getting me back on my feet again! I will be running in the Twin Cities 10 Mile Race and also skiing the Birkie thanks to you!

January 2011 I had a total knee replacement. Dr. Wyard and Twin Cities Orthopedics were great, from the scheduling of the procedure to the care after the surgery. Within a couple weeks of the surgery, I was able to walk through airports on my way back to Florida. I was putting (golf) in a month, swinging in two months, tennis and skiing in six months. With good disciplined rehab, the outcome was wonderful.

The surgery went well; the recovery was complete, even though I did not complete therapy or exercises except for a lot of walking. The entire staff at TCO was professional and helpful from beginning to end. I have, and will continue to recommend TCO to others.

This letter is to verify my feelings about my recent complete shoulder replacement operation which you did for me on July 16, 2014. I must tell you that this has to be one of the finest pieces of work you have ever done on a shoulder replacement!! I would give you an A++ as a grade for the work you have done on my shoulder!! As of 2 days ago – 2 weeks from my operation – I can do so very much with my right hand, and arm that it is hard to believe. I can dress myself completely, tie my own shoes, button my clothes, eat meals, (can’t cut meat yet), shower, shave, wash my hair with both hands. I have very little pain from my shoulder area, and can only take Tylenol Extra Strength tablets, as I am allergic to Morphine and all its derivatives, which are the generally accepted pain relief tablets. All in all, Dr. Gulli, as I say again, I am so very pleased with the results of this operation on my shoulder, and want to commend you on such a fine piece of work, and Thank You for doing this great a job on me!!

Tim Jackson has been a dairyman most of his life. As the years passed, his knees wore out. “Two years ago they were getting so bad that I could hardly navigate anymore,” said Tim. Absolutely tops. From the initial visit to the last post op appointment, I was always treated with courtesy and respect. My surgery was in the morning and hospital staff had me walking that evening. Dr. Anderson is not only a fine surgeon but has a great bedside manner also. He took all the time that was needed for questions from myself, my wife, my kids, when he made his rounds. My new hip feels and works great!

“I have received great care from Dr. Asp and all the staff at TCO and I recommend them to everyone I talk to who needs surgery,” said Karen S. (pictured), a patient of Jonathan Asp, MD.Karen’s first experience with Twin Cities Orthopedics was a visit with Dr. Asp to discuss her knee pain. After a pair of cortisone shots provided only temporary relief, Karen decided to have both of her knees replaced. Karen kept to the recommended post-surgery exercise program and said that since the surgery, her “knees have been just great.”More recently, Karen began to experience pain in both of her shoulders. Over a thirteen month period, she had both of her shoulders replaced by Dr. Asp. Two weeks after her first shoulder surgery, she was able to raise her arm straight up  Shortly thereafter, Karen said she “used her snow blower and cleaned my driveway and sidewalk.”Karen said she is grateful for the technology advances in joint replacement surgery, as it enables her “to continue to live alone in my own house!”

I had the new direct anterior hip replacement surgery on May 6,2014, home the next day. I didn’t even bother with a walker, and after 2 weeks I gave up the cane. It was an incredibly easy experience, and if it gets any easier it could be drive through surgery. I will definitely recommend Dr. O’Neill to some friends who are contemplating hip surgery. The entire staff is top notch, and I was kept completely informed on what to expect throughout the entire process.
