I felt like she genuinely cared about me as a person and not just a patient. She explained everything in detail and customized the surgery for unique physical challenges. I couldn’t be happier! My physical therapy team is great as well.

Dr. Riggi has repaired the torn rotator cuff on both of my shoulders.  He did a remarkable job each time and I was almost completely pain free one month after surgery.  He had me prepared for the limitations and expectations of the three months of the healing process after surgery.  His amiable bedside manner is refreshing.  His assistants Sarah and Mikki J are both very professional and personable. I have recommended Dr. Riggi and TCO to friends who are considering the same surgery.

I had total knee replacement surgery approximately a year ago and I can honestly say that I haven’t felt this great in around five years. Dr. Hunt was amazing along my journey.  He was kind, knowledgeable and had excellent bedside manner. I also was part of the EXCEL program.  The suites were perfect for recovery and having one on one nursing staff available was a plus as well.  The physical therapy was great because I was provided services often and it was right down the hallway. I am back to the person I used to be – being active once again and without pain!

After many years of living with pain in my left hip that increasingly limited my activities, I decided to have my hip replaced at age 56. I was referred to Dr. O’Neill by an acquaintance and after meeting him for the first time, I was sure that I wanted him to be my surgeon. He was professional, good-humored and took the time to make sure all of my questions were answered. I entered the EXCEL program and the surgery was done in their Edina office with overnight recovery across the street. I was discharged the following day with only a cane. I stopped needing pain medication after a few days and within two weeks no longer used the cane. Recovery was quick and I have no pain or limitations. My only regret is that I didn’t have it done years earlier.

I have very HIGH regards and review of Dr. O’Neil, Jesse Donovan and team.  Each of them have given/shown me their desire to make life easier for me.  Dr. O’Neil is always performing the latest procedures. To have such horrible pain and not able to complete even small tasks, it’s been a treasure to have relief. Dr. O’Neil has performed four major surgeries for me and all have been very successful. Two hips replacements and the latest are two knee surgeries. The recovery from the latest knee surgery this fall has been extremely easy and quick to once again get back to living. Life is so much better. I have suggested Dr. O’Neil to several others who have surgical needs and reports that I hear from them are equally pleased.

Dr. McGarvey – You have been such a blessing to us in 2017. It means more than you will ever know to now be able to walk pain-free for the first time in 15+ years. I feel very fortunate to have found such a caring, gifted doctor with an exceptionally helpful P.A. Wishing you a very Merry Christmas!

My name is Larry and I am 79 years of age. After 10 years of problems with my left elbow, including surgery, shots, and therapy, I was referred to Dr. Kelly at Twin Cities Orthopedics.  Dr. Kelly informed me that I was a good candidate for a total elbow replacement.  I was quite nervous about making the decision to have a total elbow replacement because I had no knowledge of anyone who had ever had this done.  My surgery date was set for June 13, 2017 at Fairview Hospital in Burnsville. All went well with the surgery and I was back at home in Grand Rapids the next evening.

I was pleased with the low level of pain I experienced following surgery and within a few weeks I could use my arm and bend my elbow with minimal pain.  Now after 3 months, I am doing great and can function without pain for the first time in 10 years.

Dr. Allan Hunt’s expertise and caring manner provided an exceptional experience for a very difficult procedure of total knee replacement. When I was told that I needed a knee replacement, I went to my friend who was the head nurse of the orthopedic department at Abbott Northwestern. She recommended Dr. Hunt and that was all the confirmation I needed because I had worked with him as an Operating Room nurse when he was a resident. Although it had been over 18 years I remembered what a nice, kind, caring person he was. I have been so happy with my outcome! The constant pain is gone and I am out doing what I was limited to before. My care at Abbott was wonderful. I would say if you are living in pain go see Dr. Hunt!

I am a 15 year old track loving girl.  I injured my foot during track practice and was treated by a different Dr. at a different location for a stress fracture of the metatarsal head. After the fracture healed and I was still having pain, I had my mom get me an appointment with an Orthopedic specialist (Dr. Clair). Dr. Clair is awesome. The first time I went to him he did a super thorough exam. He asked me lots of questions and took his time to find out what was going on. Before leaving that day I was confident that scheduling surgery was my best option for getting my foot back to 100%. Dr. Clair did my surgery and I have had 2 follow up visits so far. He has been very positive about my progress and has been really good answering all of my questions. I still have a long recovery, but I am glad I am working with Dr. Clair to get through it. I would definitely recommend him for any foot issues you might have.
