Thanks to Dr. Norberg for an excellent experience with my rotator cuff surgery and follow-up.
After 9 months I am within 5% of full use of my arm. The entire experience went very well, including follow-up visits and therapy.
I would highly recommend this surgery and this surgeon for anyone contemplating rotator cuff surgery.

Dr. Arntson performed a left anterior hip replacement on me.  His professional pre surgery advice and recommendation  left me with no questions. The surgery was completed with no complications. Dr. Arntson called me at home twice to check on my healing process.  I am now pain free and live with no restrictions as the result of the surgery.

Dr. Fischer has been my doctor for the last eight years. When I first came to him my right hand and arm were crushed and badly burned by CO2. Dr. Fischer is a very thorough doctor. I now have full function of my hand. While it may not be the strongest, I still have my hand. Thank you Dr. Fischer for doing your best so I have the use of my right hand and arm.

I am so grateful for Dr. O’Keefe and his staff. I had injections in my knees that helped immensely! I appreciate the time he takes to explain the options available. I am hopeful that the injections will be all I need, however, if I need further interventions, he is the one I will return to! The front desk staff, X-ray techs and his assistant are very friendly and made me feel comfortable. Hats OFF to Dr. O’Keefe and his entire team!!

I am the Health Care Agent for my stepmother, Dorothy, who fell in her assisted living apartment fracturing her right hip.  Despite being in her 80s, this was her first fracture ever.  Dr. Szalapski provided her trauma care and performed surgery to do a partial hip replacement.  Dr. Szalapski made Dorothy and our whole family feel comfortable and confident of the outcomes.  A hip fracture in an elderly health-compromised individual can be serious, leading to other serious consequences.  Dorothy made a full recovery, exclaiming that her hip felt better than ever!  In addition to his clearly capable management of the medical and surgical elements, Dr. Szalapski’s demeanor and patient presence is excellent.  Thanks, Doc, for your support.

When I was in need of an orthopedic surgeon a friend suggested Dr. Erik Peterson. Since then I have had Total Knee Replacement surgery on both knees, one in January of 2016 and the other in January of 2017, and am extremely happy with the results.  From my first appointment to my last follow up I have been impressed with Dr. Peterson.    He made me feel very comfortable, explained things thoroughly and, from the results of my surgeries, is a highly skilled surgeon. My recoveries went extremely well and I know Dr. Peterson’s surgery skills gave me a head start.   Dr. Peterson, his staff at Twin Cities Orthopedics and the staff at Fairview Lakes Hospital were all excellent.  After 10 plus years of pain, I am looking forward to a summer of bike rides, walks, gardening and all the fun things summer brings.  I recommend Dr. Erik Peterson to anyone who needs a great surgeon and have given his contact information to several people suffering like I had.  Thank you, Dr. Peterson for your skilled and exemplary care.

In 2013 I was seeing a Physical Therapist to help me with pain I had in both knees, I was using a cane to walk.  It became obvious that therapy was not helping my knee pain.  So my Physical Therapist advise that I get a referral to have Dr. Andrea Saterbak see me.  Her recommendation was based on her personal experience with post-surgical patients of Dr. Saterbak that became her PT clients.  She noticed that these particular clients seemed to have less post-surgical issues and seemed to respond better and quicker to therapy then some of her other clients.   I felt very encouraged by her recommendation that I was going to see a good orthopedic surgeon. 

My initial consultation visit was a good experience, the clinic (Lake Elmo) was very nice and the staff extremely friendly.  X-rays of both knees were completed quickly and Dr. Saterbak came into my room in just a matter of minutes and introduced herself.   What impressed me immediately about Dr. Andrea Saterbak was her humble confidence.  Dr. Saterbak went over the x-rays with me by explaining what I was seeing in the x-ray  (bone-on-bone) and how that equated to my knee pain I was experiencing.   Knee replacement was her recommendation and how the surgery would give me back quality of life, however, I was not ready at that time to do the deed.   Dr. Saterbak patiently listened to my hesitations and fears about surgery and did not pressure me in the slightest to get the surgery done.  What she advised was several rounds of cortisone shots in each knee to help with pain while I took the time I needed to decide when I would have the knee surgeries.  Dana Kaufman, Physician Assistant would give me the cortisone shots when I needed them, at every visit she would patiently answer any knee replacement questions I had, listen to my fears regarding surgery, she was kind, caring and encouraging, and always gave me something to think about after my visit.  Dana is awesome!

It took me 3 yrs. to finally decide it was time to do the surgeries, at my last cortisone shot, I told Dana to make a surgery date, I will never forget her response, when she realized that I was serious, she jumped off her chair and found Dr. Saterbak, when Dr. Saterbak came into the room, BOTH of them were so happy that it was finally going to happen!  May 15, 2016, was my first knee replacement, followed by my second knee replacement September 22, 2016.   Dr. Saterbak and Dana Kaufman are the BEST surgical team you could ever hope for, the surgeries went very well, my recoveries went extremely well and Dr. Satebak and Dana were with me every step of the way.  Woodwinds hospital was where I had both knee replacements, everyone at Woodwinds were just fantastic, the entire knee replacement experience was wonderful.   Words cannot express my deep appreciation for Dana Kaufman and Dr. Andrea Saterbak and what they have done for me.  They are an AWESOME surgical dream team and I would recommend them (and have!) in a heart-beat to anyone contemplating knee replacement for themselves or loved ones!

As a very active competitive water skier breaking my ankle was not good news.  Dr. Holthusen not only gave me very detailed information about my injury but he also took the time to make sure I understood the consequences of several options I had in terms of repair and treatment.   In the end the surgical repair was top notch and the follow up care and direction was most helpful.  I am back skiing with absolutely no loss of movement or strength.  I would highly recommend Dr. Holthusen for any injury dealing with your lower extremities.  He is thoughtful, thorough, and highly skilled.

Dr. Sanders changed my life, and I couldn’t ask for better care than he provided. Dr. Sanders is a wonderfully skilled surgeon, and most importantly, a compassionate individual who worked hard to help me overcome my fears. I never thought I would say this, but if needed, I will have the surgery again on my other arthritic knee.

My son, daughter, and I have been seeing Dr. Diekmann for 15 years.  He is the most understanding and patient Doc any of us have seen.  I have been coaching youth, HS and college for almost 30 years and in the last decade, Dr. Diekmann is the only orthopedist that I have referred my players to.  Recently my daughter (at college) was told I had an appointment with Dr. Diekmann the next morning and her response was “lucky!”  She didn’t ask why I had to go, but jealous that I was going. I would say that’s a pretty great testimonial in itself.
