Dr. Sherman treated me in 2000 when I was unable to attend to my own needs, my husband and children did everything. I woke up from my surgery and knew immediately that Dr. Sherman had given me back my life. I have been pain free for 15 years. I owe him so much.

I had surgery on January 30th.  Yesterday, I competed in my first triathlon in four years and my first race in over 18 months.  I came in 4th place for my age group.  I’m still slow (for me) on the run but my fitness is coming back quickly.  The best part?  I had no hip pain and no hamstring pain.

The day after the race, I felt regular soreness but did not experience any pain.  It was amazing!  I lived with hip pain for so long it had become “normal.” I cried when I crossed the finish line. I love competing and I’m thrilled to be feeling great.  Please give Dr. Larson a big thank you for everything he did for me.  He has helped me return to the hobby that I love.   Next year I’m going for 1st in my age group!  Ha!  🙂

Sharon, a 68-year-old nurse from Woodbury, had been experiencing shoulder problems for years. “I was in a lot of pain when I first came in to see Dr. Dieterle,” she said. Sharon had lost a significant amount of arm movement due to the pain she was feeling which was making it difficult for her to take care of herself.

“Sharon came into my office seeking relief for her shoulder pain that had been worsening over the course of four years,” said Dr. Dieterle.  “She had pain with everyday arm movements and even had difficulty moving her arm out to her side.”  After consulting with Dr. Dieterle, it was decided that Sharon would move ahead and have a reverse total shoulder replacement.  The surgery and Sharon’s recovery went well.

“After her surgery, I was glad to see that she was back to enjoying her life without having to think about her shoulder and the pain that was once there,” said Dr. Dieterle.  Sharon added, “I now have almost complete function of my arm. I’m happy with Dr. Dieterle and St. Croix Orthopaedics and won’t hesitate going back or recommending them to others.”

One day when I was out for a training run back in 2012, I felt a sudden deep pain in my hip joint. I went to a chiropractor who diagnosed me with a hip flexor strain and sent me on my way. After many months, my hip never felt better and I was unable to run, walk, sit, and basically do anything without pain.  It became chronic and I had to cease all triathlon training except swimming, during which I still experienced mild pain. I thought I could never run again.

After one year of no answers and another flare-up, I went to TCO’s Orthopedic Urgent Care Clinic and was lucky to see one of Dr. Larson’s partners who quickly diagnosed my labral tears and FAI.  After my initial appointment with Dr. Larson, I knew surgery was my only option to get back to racing triathlons again. My left hip was done in November 2013 and right hip done August 2014. My PT Emily Beyer, a gifted soul and skilled therapist made a tremendous impact on me and my recovery.

In June 2015 I finally was able to compete in my first race since the onset of my injuries, and finished 19th out of 96 women and 1st place in my age group! And NO HIP PAIN!  Today I am running and biking just as fast as I was before my injuries, having just started training a few months ago.

I am filled with the utmost gratitude for Dr. Larson and all his staff, and will forever be grateful. What Dr. Larson does really changes lives, and now I can continue chasing my dream of being a competitive triathlete. Thank you!!!!

After seeing my regular doctor and injections to my knee I went to TRIA and had more injections and drainage of fluid from my knee. I then went to an arthritis specialist and he recommend I see Dr. Riggi. I did and after a lengthy conversation about my knee condition we agreed to do a knee replacement on Jan 12th at Abbott Northwestern; it was just a great hospital and I had a great doctor.

This is a success story as I was golfing in FL by April!

I had the best doctor and hospital; I recommended Dr. Riggi to friends/relatives and the only hospital for me is Abbott Northwestern.

My name is Joy.  I had suffered with very bad back and neck pain for years and the pain and complications were progressively getting worse. Dr. Deal was recommended to me and I have to say I have been extremely happy and satisfied with my results. I was very fearful of the surgery, but Dr. Deal is not only a fantastic surgeon, professional  but also a truly caring and compassionate person. He answered all of my questions and treated me with respect and a kindness one does not as often these days find in the medical profession.  I highly recommend Dr. Deal. I have had a successful outcome after my ACDF surgery with no complications and all of my pain has been  eliminated and I have been recovering very nicely. Great care, great Doctor.

I suffered with incredible pain in my left index finger and my right middle finger.  Dr. Gerlach performed a fusion of my finger on my left hand and a trigger finger surgery on my right hand.  I am pain free!!!  I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Gerlach and his staff.

I had my left hip replaced in 2000 with the posterior type surgery. I had difficulty walking (with a very noticeable limp which caused a lot of back pain even after many weeks of therapy.) When my right hip became painful, I was afraid to go through such misery again even though I couldn’t walk more than a few minutes without sitting down. I heard of the less invasive anterior hip approach by accident and was very leery of it until I met Dr. O’Neill. His attitude gave me such confidence that he could correct my limp. I am so thankful that I met him. My surgery was on July 2, 2015 and I came home on July 4th. There wasn’t any need for even a cane after the second week. Now there is absolutely no back pain or limp for the first time in many years. None of my acquaintances could believe that I even had the surgery when they saw me after the second week. It is truly a miracle for me and there aren’t enough words to describe my admiration for Dr. O’Neill and the capabilities for him and his staff.

Kenneth A.

Dear Dr. Teynor,

After 84 years roaming this planet, my memory has faded somewhat. My wife would probably add and amen to that judgement.

The purpose of this letter relates to the time you planted a new hip on my left side. I believe the operation was performed in the earlt nineties or late eighties, in which case the implant is between 20 and 25 years old.

I have the impression these devices might last around 15 years. And for your information it’s still going strong. No problems whatsoever. Make me think you’re a pretty good sawbones. Incidentally, my right hip was replaced in Pensacola about 6 years ago, and, to be perfectly frank, I wish I had gone back to you. My right foot is now splayed about 30 degrees to the right and at times it is uncomfortable.

I have thought many times about the source of your expertise and have come to the conclusion it might have been your diet of Rocky Mountain oysters given you out in the Montana hinterlands.

Thanks again,
Kenneth
