Alex Barney, PT, DPT, OCS, Cert. MDT, developed his interest in physical therapy after personally experiencing an overuse running injury while training for cross country in high school. Months of frustration, marked by the inability to run without pain, led him to seek physical therapy. Since that time, he has been able to run pain-free. Motivated to pursue a career in physical therapy, Alex earned his Bachelor of Science from North Dakota State University. In 2016, he obtained his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of North Dakota. Alex is dedicated to helping his patients rediscover the joy of their favorite activities without pain, employing evidence-based interventions that include patient-specific exercise and manual therapy techniques. He holds a personal interest in working with patients experiencing spinal dysfunction, encompassing issues such as headaches, TMJ pain, low back pain, and neck pain. Beyond patient care, he finds fulfillment in cycling, running, cheering for Minnesota’s sports teams, and sharing moments with family and friends, particularly his wife, Brittney.
