About

Katie Haferman, OTR/L, is originally from a small town one hour north of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She received her Masters of Occupational Therapy from Duquesne University, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in 2006. After getting her start managing a therapy department in Pennsylvania for a few years, Katie decided to travel around the country as a traveling OT which provided her the opportunity to work in 6 different states. In her 13+ years of experience, Katie has worked in many various settings, including outpatient, acute care, transitional care/skilled nursing facilities, pediatrics, higher education and home health. She currently lives in Spring Lake Park with her husband, son (2017), daughter (2019) and their dog Blackberry.

Katie loves athletics and it has brought much to her life. She even met her husband in Duluth, Minnesota while playing a unique sport from Ireland called hurling. Katie moved to the Twin Cities in 2016 in order to play hurling for the Twin Cities Robert Emmet’s Hurling Club.
