VIDEO: Grand Opening of TCO Waconia Therapy & Sports Performance
Despite the cold and snowy weather, hundreds of people showed up Saturday to help celebrate the Grand Opening of TCO Waconia Therapy & Sports Performance.
From the ceremonial ribbon cutting to an appearance from Vikings star Everson Griffen, the afternoon was full of fun activities for all ages and helped bring the surrounding community together.
“It was a big day for us,” TCO Orthopedic Surgeon Dr. Jeffrey Mair said. “To have a facility like this, in a community this size, it’s just unrivaled and unmatched.”
Inside the 18,000-square-foot center, 12 different high school teams participated in a sports performance assessment, giving local student-athletes a chance to experience the new space first-hand.
“It was really cool to see all of the new equipment, and all of the stuff they’re going to use to train people,” Waconia High School senior Libby Kuntz said.
In addition to Everson Griffen, appearances were also made by Viktor the Viking, Twins mascot TC, Saints mascot Mudonna, Vikings cheerleaders and the SKOL Line.
Located at 820 Village Way, on the southwest corner of Main Street East and Airport Road, TCO Waconia Therapy & Sports Performance will serve as a hub for physical therapy, hand therapy and sports performance services, complete with a rehabilitation pool, 45+ yards of indoor turf, and group fitness options for all ages and abilities.
TCO’s latest addition to Waconia is located just 2 miles from its physician clinic and Orthopedic Urgent Care location in the Ridgeview Professional Building.
