5 TCO physicians named Mpls.St.Paul Magazine 2022 Top Doctors: Rising Stars
Congratulations to the five Twin Cities Orthopedics physicians named to Mpls.St.Paul Magazine’s 2022 Top Doctors: Rising Stars Edition list. The magazine’s eigth annual list recognizes peer-nominated physicians who have been fully licensed for 10 years or fewer and demonstrate medical excellence in our community.
Dr. Kurt Duncan
Kurt Duncan, MD, is a fellowship-trained orthopedic spine surgeon who specializes in surgical and non-surgical management of various conditions affecting the neck and back. Dr. Duncan believes that educating patients about their condition or diagnosis, what treatments are available and what outcomes they should expect is paramount. Except in urgent/emergent situations, conservative (non-surgical) treatments usually precede surgical treatment. If surgery is indicated, Dr. Duncan discusses available options with his patients so that they can make an informed decision
Dr. Jason Eggers
Jason L. Eggers, MD, is a board certified physical medicine and rehabilitation physician. He completed his residency at the University of Minnesota and his fellowship in Primary Care Sports Medicine at Penn State. Dr. Eggers specializes in non-surgical sports medicine and spine and neck care.
Dr. William Engasser
William M. Engasser, MD, specializes in elective surgery of the lower extremity and acute trauma. Dr. Engasser’s practice focuses on ankle replacement as well as sports injuries and degenerative conditions of the lower extremities. He completed a fellowship in foot and ankle surgery and his practice encompasses all conditions of the foot and ankle.
Dr. David Hartigan
David Hartigan, MD is a board certified orthopedic surgeon and a graduate of Mayo Clinic Orthopedic Surgery Residency program. He is dual fellowship trained in hip preservation/replacement at American Hip Institute in Chicago, IL and Sports Medicine at OrthoCarolina in Charlotte, NC. Dr. Hartigan specializes in all aspects of hip care including: hip arthroscopy, FAI, labral repair, periacetabular osteotomy, surgical hip dislocation, proximal hamstring ruptures, abductor tendon repair and minimally invasive anterior hip replacement.
Dr. Erik Peterson
Erik Peterson, MD, is an orthopedic surgeon who specializes in fracture care, minimally invasive joint replacement, and sports medicine. His approach to patient care is simple – treat others as you’d like to be treated. Dr. Peterson strives to make an accurate diagnosis, discusses patient goals and treatment options, then mutually determines a practical solution to achieve those goals.
