I have been Dr. Mertens’ patient since 2013. He is an amazing doctor. He always greets you with a smile and carries himself like he doesn't have a problem in the world. He is always open to hearing about your health issues so he can help you get better. He listens to what you have to say and he doesn't over talk you. If it’s something he's not sure about, he goes to his computer to find the answers. He guides you the right way. He studies his patients he knows what's good for you. I wouldn't trade him for the world and I would follow him anywhere for my healthcare needs.

He and his care coordinator, Holly, are an awesome team. I will recommend that everyone that struggling with Lupus goes to see his team. If you want to get well enough to continue an active lifestyle, he is the doctor you want to see. Thank you Dr. Mertens for being my doctor.
