What’s an interesting tidbit about you?

I took two years off after high school to play junior hockey before going to school and playing hockey for Cornell University.

Why did you go into medicine?

During my last year of college, I observed a knee-replacement surgery and the next day I changed my career path from economic/currency trader to medical school and could not be more satisfied.

How did you choose orthopedics?

I was interested in the mechanical function of the body and fascinated by the ability of an orthopedic surgeon to fix something broken or injured and the impact that it can make on a patient’s life. The privilege to treat a patient is truly a remarkable experience.
