Difference Maker: Jodi Z.

When we ask patients and their families about their experience at TCO, we often hear it’s the little things that make all the difference.

Every month we recognize a team member who went above and beyond to make a difference in the life of a patient. Often they did something that, if you asked them, “was no big deal,” or “is just part of their job.” But the truth is, their actions inspired others around them.

As a small token of our appreciation for making TCO a better place, we partnered with local artist Claire Ward to create a one-of-a-kind piece of art featuring an image of the recipient’s choosing.

Today we’d like to thank Jodi (pictured in center with her family) for being a Difference Maker.

Jodi’s Story

Jodi is known for providing patients with great customer service every day, but on a terribly cold day in January she did something amazing.

She’s a patient services representative in Chaska and Waconia, meaning she’s the first face a patient sees when checking in for their appointment. On this particular day, a patient came to the front desk asking for gloves, because there was a -39 degree wind chill outside and her knee scooter handles were freezing.

Jodi felt so awful about the patient’s hands being dangerously cold that – without hesitation – she gave the woman her own winter gloves to take home.

It was thoughtful and selfless, and it showed how much Jodi truly cares about people.

Thank you, Jodi, for continuing to inspire us all!
