Difference Makers: Daniel Bergevin-Smith
Daniel Bergevin-Smith, a physical therapist at Edina – MN Drive, showed great compassion leaping into action when a patient’s spouse asked him to assist the patient in the restroom. Dan was understanding and kind, and walked the patient to the lobby for check-in. That kindness is why Daniel is one of our Difference Makers. Let’s get to know him!
What’s your title and role?
Daniel: I am a physical therapist at the Edina – MN Drive clinic.
How do you make a difference?
Daniel: I became a physical therapist because I wanted to serve my community. I do my best every day to provide a service to others, either through my skills and knowledge or simple gestures such as holding the door open for another person.
What’s your favorite thing about working at TCO?
Daniel: My fellow team members! Every team member works hard to support each other, and, because of that support, I observe and am able to take part in providing exceptional care to our patients.
What are your favorite things to do outside of work?
Daniel: I enjoy spending time with friends and family, cheering on Minnesota sports teams (Skol, Vikings!), and golfing.
What’s one place in the continental U.S. you’ve never been where you’d like to travel?
Daniel: I would like to travel to New York City. I’ve read and heard so much about the rich history and culture, I think it would be a fantastic city to visit. Plus, I’d like to see the Statue of Liberty in person!
Way to Be The Difference, Daniel!
Twin Cities Orthopedics has been named one of the Top 150 Workplaces for eight consecutive years by the Star Tribune, and one of the main reasons is because of our amazing team members who make a difference every day.
