i-Health practice Catalyst Medical Clinic named one of Minnesota’s most cost-effective clinics

Congratulations to fellow i-Health practice Catalyst Medical Clinic (CMC) on being recognized as one of the most cost-effective clinics in Minnesota.

New data released on February 13th revealed the quality and cost of care provided by hospitals and clinics across the state.

Released by the independent nonprofit MN Community Measurement, the 2019 Minnesota Health Care Quality Report analyzes healthcare facilities based on a huge range of indicators for the care and treatment they provide patients.

On a per patient, per month basis comprising payments for both adult and pediatric care from patients/insurance companies to the providers, CMC ($472) was ranked in the state’s top 10 least-expensive hospitals and clinics.

“How do we do it? Our mantra is to try to take care of our patients in a manner similar to how we want to be taken care of,” CMC physician Dr. Scott Jensen said. “Patients and physicians work together closely to avoid unnecessary emergency room usage unnecessary expensive tests. We participate in close monitoring of medical conditions to minimize hospitalizations and utilize frequent phone call follow-ups to reduce confusion. It’s amazing how much good can come from an attitude of caring.”
