Internationally Renowned Knee Surgeon Robert F. LaPrade, MD, PhD Joins TCO
We are excited to announce the upcoming arrival of Robert F. LaPrade, MD, PhD, an internationally known complex orthopedic knee and sports medicine surgeon. LaPrade comes from The Steadman Clinic in Vail, Colorado, and will join TCO on June 1.
LaPrade has specialized skills and expertise in diagnosing and treating complicated knee injuries. He has treated athletes at all levels, including Olympic, professional and intercollegiate athletes, and has returned numerous athletes back to full participation after surgeries.
Recognized nationally and internationally for his outstanding and efficient surgical skills, LaPrade is passionate about sports medicine. A recipient of many research awards, including the OREF Clinic Research Award considered by many a Nobel Prize in orthopedics, Robert F. LaPrade, MD, PhD is one of the most published investigators in his field. He has contributed more than 400 peer-reviewed scientific manuscripts and 125 book chapters.
He is respected globally as a specialized clinician scientist who has utilized his vast and comprehensive research skills on sports medicine injuries to improve patient care and innovate progressive treatments for knee injuries. Many of the surgeries that he has developed are now performed worldwide and recognized as the “gold standard” for the treatment of complex knee injuries.
