KFAN’s Chris Hawkey Back Rockin’ Thanks to TCO

Chris Hawkey might be the most recognizable voice in the Twin Cities. By day, he’s the award-winning radio host of The Power Trip Morning Show on KFAN. By night, he’s the lead singer of a rock band playing sold-out shows from Shakopee to St. Cloud. And he loves every minute of it.

“Hawk” was born to perform. But knee pain from an old sports injury threatened to rip his dream away. It was the first thing he thought about when he woke up, and every life decision revolved around what his knee would allow him to do. Sitting in the radio studio hurt. Jumping around on stage was impossible. Worst of all, he couldn’t even play outside with his daughter anymore. So, enough was enough.

Hawk took the first step and went to TCO. He explored his options and decided to have his knee replaced. After successful surgery and physical therapy, the crowd-surfing, fist-pumping, scream-at-the-top-of-his-lungs version of Hawk is back.

Now, he’s happier than ever. He just wishes he would’ve taken that first step sooner.
