Cole Smith, PA-C, is a board-certified Physician Assistant who works in conjunction with Dr. Karlstad. He is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA). His clinical responsibilities include assisting Dr. Karlstad with all aspects of orthopedic care including assisting in surgery, seeing patients in clinic, performing joint injections, splinting, and casting. Prior to working in orthopedics, he completed a fellowship training in hospital medicine and worked as a hospitalist. In undergrad, he competed on the Bethel University Men’s Hockey Team. Growing up a competitor and athlete, he has always had a passion for orthopedics.
Outside of work, Cole enjoys spending time with his wife, being part of a local church, traveling to see family, hanging out with friends, being active, listening to a good music, and reading Lord of The Rings.
