Aundrea D. Rainville, MD, is a board certified orthopedic surgeon with specialty training and certification in hand and upper extremity surgery. She was born and raised in Esko, Minnesota. She completed her undergraduate degree at St. Cloud State University in St. Cloud, MN with a degree in Biomedical Science. She attended Medical School at the University of Minnesota.
Following medical school, Dr. Rainville completed a residency in Orthopedic Surgery at Southern Illinois University and then went on to complete a one year fellowship in Hand and Upper extremity surgery at the Indiana Hand to Shoulder Center in Indianapolis, Indiana.
After fellowship, she moved to western Wisconsin where she practiced for over 11 years caring for both adult and pediatric patients with hand, wrist, forearm and elbow disorders.
In her free time, Dr. Rainville enjoys spending time with her busy family including 3 children, 2 dogs and 3 cats. She enjoys hiking, reading and traveling. She is always planning her next adventure.
Elbow care, including tendonitis (golfers elbow and tennis elbow), ligament and tendon injury, cubital tunnel syndrome, nerve compression, distal biceps tendon repair, triceps tendon repair, and proximal median nerve compression
Fracture care, including operative and nonoperative management of hand, wrist and forearm fractures including distal radius fractures, forearm fractures, radius and ulna fractures, scaphoid fractures, carpal fractures, metacarpal fractures, and finger fractures
Hand care, including trigger fingers, Dupuytren’s contracture, arthritis, tendon repair, surgical and nonsurgical fracture care (metacarpal fractures, finger fractures), ulnar collateral ligament injury (skier’s thumb and gamekeepers thumb), dislocations, masses, ganglion cysts, mucous cysts, nerve repair, basal joint arthritis (thumb CMC arthritis), and Xiaflex injections
Pediatric care, including pediatric hand, wrist, forearm injuries including tendon injury and fractures, and small finger polydactyly
Sports medicine, including arthroscopy, ligament repairs, ulnar collateral ligament repair of thumb, tendon repairs, tendonitis, and overuse injuries
Wrist care, including arthritis, ligament injuries, scapholunate (SL) injuries, De Quervain’s tendonitis, carpal tunnel, tendon injuries, tendonitis, arthroscopy, distal radius fractures, TFCC tears, masses, ganglion cysts, and nerve repair
