Dr. Chen was very helpful in alleviating some of my ankle pain. The solution was simple but effective. She outlined what steps I need to take ? if the insoles don’t alleviate my pain enough. I felt listened to and was very impressed with both her demeanor and knowledge. I will definitely go back to her if the pain increases.

Dr. Chen took care of my child when he fractured his tibia. She answered all our many questions and was very reassuring about his recovery process. We had a great experience with Dr. Chen and the whole care team at TCO!

I saw Dr. Chen for a broken ankle and was able to get an appointment with her very quickly. Once she determined that surgery was necessary, the procedure was also scheduled quickly. The surgery went very smoothly and any questions I had were answered immediately by her or her care coordinator, Jennifer. This was my first time seeing Dr. Chen. I saw a poster at TCO Eagan introducing her to the team, so I decided to schedule an appointment. I was very impressed with her knowledge and demeanor. She was very kind, cheerful, and oh so very helpful. After seeing two other physicians about my foot, she was able to give me two surgery options to choose from. I would very highly recommend Dr. Chen to anyone having foot or ankle issues or in need of an orthopedic surgeon. I will definitely be seeing her again if any other foot issues arise. Thank you Dr. Chen for all that you’ve done for me. My surgery was a great success!

I have been having pain in my right foot and ankle from arthritis. Dr. Chen had X-rays taken then examined my foot and ankle. We discussed cortisone shots but she felt it wouldn’t work as effectively for me. Instead, she prescribed wedges in the heels of my shoes and stretching exercises for my calves and ankles. I started using the wedges on June 17th and the exercises on June 18th. They seem to be reducing my pain. I will keep doing them and hope for more improvement.

I can’t say enough about Dr. Chen and her team. They were helpful, informative, and left no stone unturned. I felt like I was in good hands which eliminated much anxiety.

Dr. Chen was very knowledgeable and kind. We did an injection to get me through two upcoming weddings and then discussed surgery for next fall. She helped me understand exactly what I would be facing and she was patient with my questions. The injection was a success in getting me back on my feet for now. I have had two prior injections that didn’t work, but this one did! I has been three weeks an I am still not limping. Woohoo!

Dr. Chen was not my original surgeon when I had elective surgery on my right ankle, however she saw me due to my continued pain since the procedure. She listened attentively to my concerns and recommended a change in my insoles. Although it has not completely taken care of my pain yet, it has been very helpful. I appreciate the way she listened to my concerns and wasn’t dismissive of my situation. If I am not seeing a drastic change in improvement after some time, she indicated there were other options available to help my pain. I would definitely see her again for further care! She was extremely compassionate and instilled confidence.

I broke my ankle in December 2025 and saw Dr. Chen just a few days later. I then was scheduled for an ankle fixation with hardware. Throughout the consultation, surgery, and post-operative appointments, Dr. Chen has been an incredibly compassionate, thoughtful, and knowledgeable partner in my recovery. She spent time answering my questions, ensuring I understood next steps and timelines, and emphasized the ever-important doctor/patient partnership that is so important to a healthy orthopedic surgery recovery.
