It is obvious to me why I have seen so many amazing and positive reviews of Dr. Meyer on numerous sites throughout Minnesota. Nearly two years since my knee replacement, I feel 20 years younger. I cannot say enough about the entire experience with Dr. Meyer, his team, and the Ridgeview staff. I highly recommend Dr. Meyer.

I have been a patient of Dr. Meyer for 15 years. In this time he has given me relief from pain with seven successful surgeries (both hips, both knees, shoulder, arm, and a severely fractured ankle and foot). Dr. Meyer and his PA, Sommer Vaughn, have always been very caring, compassionate, and knowledgeable about my care. They listened to me as a patient and plans were made for necessary surgeries. These surgeries have enabled me to continue to enjoy a normal life in my later years. I am now 83 years young, enjoying my husband of 65 years, 4 children, 9 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren. Last year, I had a hip replacement with Dr. Chris Meyer, and it was one of the best things I ever did. I had such a great experience with Dr. Meyer, his staff, and the EXCEL Program, so I decided to bite the bullet and have my left knee replaced since it was bothering me for some time.

Last year I had a hip replacement with Dr. Chris Meyer and it was one of the best things I ever did. To add to that, my left knee had actually been bothering me for longer than my hip. Because I had such a great experience with Dr. Meyer, his staff, the staff at Two Twelve Surgery Center and the EXCEL Program, I decided to bite the bullet and have my left knee replaced.

One of my passions is golf, so I needed to time the surgery and recovery to take place before summer and a spring break golf trip. I had the surgery on January 18, which went really well. I followed the doctor’s orders to a “T” and by the time our Spring Break trip rolled around, I was ready to hit the links! As a matter of fact, I golfed 144 holes in one week and got my FIRST HOLE IN ONE only 9 1/2 short weeks after my surgery! The smile in the pic attached says it all. I cannot thank Dr. Meyer and all involved for the care I received. I highly recommend them. They are the BEST!

I just want to thank Dr. Christopher Meyer and his staff. The program I went through was amazing. The staff was even more amazing! The team helped me throughout the whole process and answered all my questions to make it a stress-free experience. My job is pretty physical where I need to kneel and get up from a kneeling position. I had a left total knee surgery on November 8th at Two Twelve Medical Center. The pre-op and post-op care was absolutely amazing. Before surgery I was very well informed what was going to be done and what to expect. Post-surgery I have not had pain but just some tightness/stiffness, which is to be expected. I could not be happier with Dr. Meyer and the care I received. Six weeks after surgery, I was walking (no limping) and can do everything except running and play pickleball, which I will be starting again! Do as they say, and you will do fabulous. Having been very active most of my adult life, it was difficult for me to start giving up all the sports I had enjoyed because I couldn’t manage the pain anymore. My doctor and nurse friends recommended Dr. Christopher Meyer and I am SO thankful to have followed through with him and his staff. The entire process was done with excellent communication and great care throughout. Physical therapy is a must. The highly trained staff crafted and executed a rehabilitation program that met and exceeded my expectations. The counseling also relieved a lot of stress, when certain aches and pains were noted as a part of the typical healing process. They are an awesome group of very talented and thorough professionals. I am now at 6 weeks post-op from a total knee replacement with Dr. Christopher Meyer and I am certainly feeling as good as I did six weeks pre-op. I expect I will recover endurance and increase muscle tone as I continue to work back into shape. I’ve had knee problems since the age of 14 and have had three surgeries before this one. I am now 56. I feel that six weeks from now, with the consistent work and positive mental attitude, I will have more use of the lower body and better overall quality of life then I have had for many years.

This is the second knee replacement with Dr. Meyer and both of them could not have gone better. I was fortunate to have very little pain, and mobility of knee came rather quickly. I am now blessed with good knees that will allow me to have a lifestyle that doesn’t include limping.

Dr. Meyer and his staff were professional, thorough, careful to explain steps and expectations, and personally made me feel important. The day to day pain is gone I can go out and do normal activities without 3-4 days of inflammation and pain that I would have prior to my knee surgery with Dr. Meyer.

I would highly recommend Dr. Meyer if you are needing a joint replacement. Dr. Meyer is a wonderful doctor, he has provided me with a lot of information, before and after my total knee arthroplasty. He took the time to listen and answer my questions. My knee is doing so better now than before surgery. He is a very thorough doctor.

Dr. Chris Meyer and his team (Cara and Summer) did a great job replacing my knee. I had a severe Meniscus tear and stress fracture which was eliminated by a full knee replacement. I am still recovering 6 months later but am back to my daily routine of activities with less pain. With continued exercise and stretching, my recovery is on schedule. I plan to have my right knee done next fall!

Dr. Chris Meyer is a very pro surgeon. He doesn’t waste words but knows his business well. I would recommend his services and also his assistant Sommer Vaughn, PA-C. Choose this group for your surgery and you’ll be pleasantly surprised. It took me less than a year to completely recover from my knee replacement. I’m not running marathons, but I can make it up stairs without pain now!!

I was in a lot of pain before surgery and had a lot of trouble with daily activities. Dr. Meyer did a great job on my hip and now I am pain free and able to do the things I want to do. Surgery only took just over an hour and Dr. Meyer and his team were great to work with. I highly recommend him and his staff.

Dr. Christopher Meyer and all medical staff were great, very pleasant and really seemed to know what they were doing. Following my total knee replacements, all the sharp pain I was having in my knees is gone and I can function again.

I was hardly able to walk last spring and prior to surgery, I could not go up and down stairs without using the railing or my cane. I had one knee replaced in June 2020 and second knee August 2020. Now, I have no issues. In November, I played 18 holes pain free! I played 15 rounds of golf in November. I am really happy with everything Dr. Meyer and Sommer did for me.

After surgery with Dr. Meyer, I can walk without a limp and stand without having my legs go numb. I can also stand for longer now and can do the things I enjoy like walking or biking. I am also able to do my job better and do not tired as easy as before.

I am amazed at the results of my total hip replacement by Dr. Christopher Meyer! I had difficulty getting into the car, going up or down stairs, bending, getting dressed, etc. I even noticed I was not standing straight. All of the pain is now gone, I can move freely, and I’m standing tall! So happy I could get this surgery twice (both sides)!!

Prior to my surgery I could not play golf and going up or down stairs was difficult and painful. My overall activity level was low. I was also suffering from mild depression due to my poor knee joint health. Dr. Meyer had replaced my right knee joint two years ago and the results were excellent. My most recent surgery was again through the EXCEL program and Dr. Meyer did an outstanding job replacing my badly deteriorated left knee. My recovery progressed well and my overall experience exceeded my expectations in every respect. I quite literally have my life back with two new knees. I cannot recommend Dr. Meyer and the EXCEL program highly enough. Both were outstanding.

Before my surgery I was not able to do my daily work activities. I am an electrician and it was tough to climb a ladder, walk and go in and out of trenches. I was 48 when I got a new hip. Everyone says ‘why so young’? Dr. Meyer said that my new hip will outlast me. My wife says I walk straighter and am a lot easier to be around!

Having my knee replaced has given me back the ability to move and live without pain. Dr. Meyer is an amazing surgeon, everything from pre-surgery to the actual surgery to post surgery has gone very smoothly and just as Dr. Meyer described. And my incision scar is very minimal even just a month after surgery! Doing all the pre-surgery and post-surgery exercises have also played a key role in my recovery, just as Dr. Meyer said. I will definitely go back to Dr. Meyer if I have any other joint issues and I highly recommend him as a surgeon.

I went through 30+ years of pain, limited range of motion, and off and on limping. Now my knee feels 95% like normal. I can golf with no issues, take long walks, climb stairs, and live life. This surgery with Dr. Meyer has been amazing and I am very grateful.

Surgery with Dr. Meyer has eliminated the deep pain within my hip. It has restored my ability to carry out daily life activities without compensating for the pain. I feel wonderful. My new hip has restored my full mobility. The entire process was transparent and the expectations were exceeded.

It is difficult for me to even know how to completely describe the incredible experience I had at TCO during the past few months. Let me start with the facts. I have had a problem with my left knee for about 15 years, ever since a mountain bike accident caused a small stick to penetrate and damage my knee.  This somewhat minor accident caused arthritis to develop. A few years later I had two arthroscopic surgeries to remove pieces and shape my meniscus. This helped but years later the arthritis continued to advance. My first consultation with Dr. Christopher Meyer at this point put me on a path to relieve the pain for several more years.  Of course, we knew at some point a knee replacement would become necessary. We arrived at that point this fall.

From the time that Dr. Meyer recommended the replacement to today (8 weeks post surgery) my experience has been nothing but extraordinary. I cannot think of a better customer service experience in my lifetime! The care and attention I have received at every level has been amazing! There has not been a moment during this process that I didn’t feel completely cared for. The folks at the surgery center were amazing, everything was explained in ways that I completely understood and my concerns were listened to and addressed. The aftercare following surgery made me feel very encouraged and comfortable. I never felt like I was being rushed out and I felt like those attending to me considered me important.

Then, I went to Aurora for the rest of the day and one night. Oh, my gosh! I literally felt like I was the only patient there. But it was more than just the care and attention. The staff was friendly and, again, they never seemed rushed. I appreciated the time they took to have conversation with me and just be available. They took the time to listen to how I was doing and remembered things like I REALLY like my coffee and accommodated me on some of those little things that make you feel so at home. I have to drop a big thank you to Rachel! I know there were others but I don’t remember all the names. Sorry!

The follow-up has also been amazing! I’ve gotten timely calls to make sure I was doing ok and to ask if I needed anything. Also, Sommer has been wonderful in answering all my questions and making sure I have everything I need.

Then, it was on to TCO Burnsville for physical therapy and Alissa has also been amazing. Once again, she listened to all the little nuances of how my knee is doing and how I was feeling each time I went there. She has been encouraging every time and each time I left facility I felt like I knew exactly what I needed to do to keep progressing.

If I could think of one thing you could improve on, I would tell you.  But… I can’t think of one thing! I truly wish I could remember the names of all the people who attended to me throughout this process but I can’t. Just know that every one of them should be commended because EVERY ONE of them did a great job! Dr. Meyer, Sommer, the folks at the check-in desks, the nurses, the attendants, the anesthesiologist, the aftercare folks, Rachel, Alissa…every one of them.

I no longer have to find an alternate activity when travels include long walks and medium hikes. I have less pain and better sleep after a typical active day.

Extreme pain prior to surgery and a hard time sleeping. Now I can walk normally with no pain. Still have some stiffness if I sit a long time but that goes away after I walk a couple of steps. Very happy with Dr. Meyer. He did a good job.

My hip replacement by Dr. Meyer has changed my physical life. I struggled with neck pain for at least 10 years but after my hip surgery found it much easier to walk upright and correct my posture, which I have done at 65 years old. My chronic neck pain is now 90% gone! And my hip? Incredible! No pain, perfect! I feel whole again!

I am continuing to heal. I appreciate very much the high level of care that I have received through this entire process with all involved from Dr. Meyer, TCO, and Ridgeview Medical Center! I look forward to my knee fully healed.

I was a very active person who hiked, biked, played tennis two hours a day, lifted weights and did many things during the day. My knee was very worn out and I became extremely debilitated. My pain was at a 10 and walking was extremely difficult as was sleeping. I felt like I couldn’t do anything without intense pain. After I had the surgery and went through strenuous physical therapy, I am now back to doing everything I like to do without pain. It took approximately 4 1/2 months to get back playing high-level tennis and now I’m playing three hours a day. I had absolutely no idea that I could feel as good as I feel doing the things that I love. I would have the surgery again if needed! Dr. Meyer did a great job! I would highly recommend him. The nurses and the support team were fabulous too.

My surgery was a great success! Dr. Meyer was extraordinary and the care I received was amazing! The nurses at the Chaska Surgery Center were incredible! The recovery has been moving along smoothly. Walking without pain is such a treat!

Prior to my shoulder surgery with Dr. Christopher Meyer, I was not able to use my right arm at all. Instead, I was using a sling to keep from moving it at all to avoid the extra pain that came with it. After my surgery, I was able to go back to my everyday life and use both arms again!

I’m able to ride my bike pain free and most importantly ride my horse pain free!! Thank you Dr. Meyer and TCO!

Both of my hips were bad and needed to be replaced. I could barely walk into a store or walk more than 200 feet without experiencing extreme pain. Now, after my hips have been replaced and healed, I often forget that I have new hips! It is still unbelievable what the hip replacement has done for me, I’m back to normal. Dr. Meyer did a great job!

My knee was very bad before surgery with Dr. Meyer. Now I can do almost everything like walking stairs and take care of my house on my own. I am going to Montana in December and Australia and New Zealand in February. Thank you!

Speaking for the surgery itself, I am already amazed after only 5 weeks, how much of the pain I was having in my knee before the surgery that is now basically gone. There is mild pain from the surgical process itself but I can tell that within months I will be able to do activities that I was severely restricted in doing before the surgery.

This renewed ability will allow me to continue work in my outdoor adventure ministry that would have been restricted otherwise! I can, with confidence, say that this is a life-changing procedure that I have had done.

I would also like to add that the whole process from diagnosis to follow-up has been extraordinary. The care that I have received has been far above my expectations. Dr. Meyer’s diagnosis, recommendations and, of course, his surgical skill have been excellent! Then, the care and follow-up by Sommer, the care by staff at the hospital and Aurora (Rachel!) and Alyssa at PCO, Burnsville for PT was absolutely amazing. Excellent experience!

I still have pain & stiffness from the surgery but I can tell that my knee will be 100% when it heals! Dr. Meyer did an amazing job!

My hip surgery done by Dr. Meyer has allowed me to walk regularly again without pain.

Like so many others I waited too long to have my knee surgery. I am glad I did it. I can walk again!

Before my first hip replacement with Dr. Meyer, I had stopped doing everything. After it, I was able to resume some walking and pool exercise. Then my other hip started getting the same pain. The simple things I was doing had to stop. Now, after my second hip replacement I actually thought to myself that if I needed to run to save someone’s life, I think I could do it. I have shared with so many people how the hip replacement has decreased my knee pain so much that they should make sure their hips aren’t the problem before getting knee replacement. I am able to take full stride steps and walk fast. Seems simple but it wasn’t just three months ago when I was, again, doing this weird lumbering walk. I no longer need to worry about how I am sitting. Prior to my right hip replacement, my hip would get stuck. The pain was phenomenal! I’m not worried about that anymore. The pain also impacted the low impact water aerobics that I was doing. Now I’m not worried about that anymore either!

Hip replacement surgery with Dr. Chris Meyer got me back to living! Prior to having the surgery, I was avoiding a lot of physical and social activities because of pain and lack of motivation. After surgery, no pain and no sitting out from the fun!

I had both my knee & hip replaced on my left side by Dr. Meyer and would not even know that anything was done. I have no pain, full range of movement, and feel like a person much younger than my age (75). Thanks much to Dr. Meyer and staff!

I can do things like I could when I was younger. In June, I camped in 3 State Parks and 2 camp grounds. Before knee surgery with Dr. Meyer, I would have maybe done only 1.

After my injury, I could not even get close to what I could once do. After the surgery with Dr. Meyer to repair the injury, I am very close to having all my movement back and feel great about that!

I am able to sleep at night on my left side without pain. I continue my PT exercises daily by myself, and feel they have helped tremendously in my complete recovery. Though I am right-handed, I can do more with my left arm than I can with my right arm. I am looking forward to having surgery on my right shoulder this coming spring/summer.

Excellent work by Dr. Meyer and his team. I am very satisfied with my recovery plan and look forward to strengthening my shoulder. All of my goals have been met and an excellent result from procedure.

My knees were both so painful, that I could no longer walk normally, or do my job. I tell everyone I know that has any knee pain, not to wait one more minute. It changed my life!

I had total right knee replacement 6 months before having the right hip replacement. I had hit a wall in my rehab with the knee because of pain from both hip and knee. The knee continued to be painful even 5 months after the surgery. I can’t believe how much better both knee and hip were one month after the second (hip) surgery. Very little discomfort in my daily activities and walking is going very well. I’m so grateful to Dr. Meyer as he told me I would be so much better after the hip surgery and he is right!

My husband and I both had surgery with Dr. Meyer, at TCO. I was first to have surgery with a partial knee replacement in December of 2017 at Two Twelve Surgery Center. I’m so happy I did it, as now I can walk pain-free and enjoy doing things that I wasn’t able to do before. Two weeks later, Al fell and tore his achilles tendon. On January 2nd, I had my check-up with Dr. Meyer and he stated how great I was walking. After some discussion, he learned of Al’s injury and he showed me how to test to see if it was torn. After checking, we called Dr. Meyer’s team and and Al went to see Dr. Meyer on January 3rd. His pre-op appointment was on January 4th and he had surgery on January 5th. We can’t say enough about how impressed we were that he got in that fast! Four months later, Al was weed whipping and fell on his left shoulder. He went back to Dr. Meyer and had surgery to fix his rotator cuff and torn sub scapular. For both of us, this was a huge set back as we are both Harley riders and, due to the shoulder injury, were not able to ride until September of 2018. Needless to say, we are so thankful for Dr. Meyer and all that he’s done for both of us.

Before the surgery I struggled to get out of a chair. I teach first grade and those 6 and 7 year olds do not want to wait for their teacher to get off her chair or struggle to get off the floor. Every step was painful and I struggled to sleep at night. Now I don’t have to think about how to get off the chair or floor – I just do it. I have no pain and am able to keep up with my kiddos at school.

Before the surgery with Dr. Meyer, my life was non-stop pain. Walking, standing, sleeping or lack of sleep all affected by the pain. I avoided stairs for fear of the knee giving out. The other day I went upstairs, got to the top and realized that I had gone up alternating steps with out thinking about it. In the past I wouldn’t have been able to get up without using a single step method. It’s refreshing to think of my new knee as the good one and cannot wait to do the second one.

I would recommend TCO and Dr. Christopher Meyer if anyone needs orthopedic surgery.

I have been a bowler all of my adult life. When my knees became too painful, my scoring suffered and I made adaptions to the way I bowled. I had surgery on my first knee, which didn’t change too much. Then the second knee made a big difference. I’m slowly getting back to where I was. It’s no longer embarrassing to bowl because my average has gradually crept back up. Thank you Dr. Meyer.

Being only 53, I assumed I should wait out the pain in my knee, until I ‘was older’. Dr. Chris Meyer asked me an important question, ‘immobile now, or worry about being immobile at 83?’. I signed up for the surgery as soon as we could work out the details! The care has been top notch, the recommendations were spot on and follow up was fantastic!! Now at 5 months out, instead of rating my pain with every step, I have an occasional sense of fullness in my knee. It’s still healing for a year, but best move ever! Thank you all, TCO!

I am able to feel less stress because the new knee feels good. I enjoy golfing and I am able to play as often as I want/can. A better quality of life for sure. Thank you TCO and Dr. Meyer.

I had a wonderful experience with TCO, especially Dr. Meyer and his team. I have shared my shoulder surgery experience and referred other people looking for an Orthopedic Surgeon.

Last year I was extremely limited by my knee pain, unable to walk my dogs. I felt like I was 90 years old. Now I am walking my dogs almost 5 miles each day. I am completely satisfied with the surgery from Dr. Meyer.

My hip pain started shortly after I had a work related injury. TCO also rebuilt my ankle, but my therapist was not getting the range of motion she felt I should have had in my hip. Further tests showed arthritis had deteriorated my hip joint. Coming off of joint surgery for my ankle, I wanted to wait on surgery so I tried other options for my hip. None helped long term so Dr. Meyer performed a hip replacement surgery in January. I am more than pleased with the results. My hip continues to get stronger and I have lost 16 lbs in the past two months because of more physical activity. My wife and I had our bikes overhauled and I am picking them up this week. I would recommend this surgery, for anyone considering it.

I am so much more active. I have been joined the YMCA and am able to participate in exercise classes, Zumba, water Tabata and dance for almost three hours straight to a great band. There are very few activities I can’t do that I want to do. At the very least they are much easier. And, I’ve lost 30 pounds and love being active. It has made all the difference to my retirement!

All activities were limited to places with no stairs. It hurt to step up on a curb. Now I don’t even think about it. I climb up bleachers to watch my grandkids play sports without a problem.

My knee replacement by Dr. Chris Meyer in the TCO EXCEL Program was excellent! The all-inclusive program from the beginning to the end through physical therapy was comprehensive and beyond my expectations. No hassle billing was so nice – it was the way it should be. Knowing the cost in a bundle makes it so much easier on the patient.

Surgery with Dr. Meyer has removed the daily pain I had in my knees. I find myself running up and down the stairs now and have even returned to rollerblading!

After the shoulder tear I was not able to do many of my normal activities. After the repair I followed the recovery plan to the tee. With the excellent therapy I received, I consider the surgery a complete success. Thank you Dr. Meyer!!

Having no pain has allowed me to return to normal life and activities. I am able to do housework and work in my vegetable and flower gardens. I am able to enjoy our grandchildren and participate in their activities.

Before surgery I was in nearly constant pain. Since surgery with Dr. Meyer and recovery/healing, I am able to resume a nearly totally normal life. About the only thing I cannot do very well is kneel on the knee.

I love the fact that I can walk 18 holes of golf again. I hated taking a cart while my friends walked the course. Nice to be able to join them in walking.

I had both of my hips replaced by Dr. Chris Meyer at Ridgeview Medical Center. Surgery with Dr. Meyer has allowed me to bike without pain. Now, I can ski a full day in the mountains and ski in bad conditions without being hobbled. I successfully returned to Masters alpine ski racing after 8 years of not being able to compete due to the pain.
