TCO welcomes new physician Dr. Jason Eggers

Join us in welcoming our newest physician, Jason Eggers, MD, DC, to Twin Cities Orthopedics.

Dr. Eggers has more than 10 years of experience as a pain management and rehabilitation physician here in the Twin Cities and specializes in the evaluation and treatment of acute and chronic neck and low back pain, conservative management of scoliosis and athletic stress fractures of the lumbar spine.

What are a few interesting facts that people may not know about you?

I’m a flight surgeon in the Minnesota Army National Guard. I enjoy barbecuing, hunting and fishing. I also have two dogs!

Why did you go into medicine?

There is an inherent satisfaction in being able to help someone with a medical issue. I also enjoy the problem solving of a difficult diagnosis.

How did you choose orthopedics?

I became a chiropractor prior to going to medical school, treating neck pain, back pain and headaches. As a chiropractor, I worked with a variety of athletes. Working in the orthopedic field with spine patients and athletes was a natural transition.

What does your dream practice look like?

A combination of sports medicine and spine patients, including sideline coverage of high school and collegiate-level athletics. I love the variety of seeing patients ranging from pediatrics to geriatrics.

What is your care philosophy?

The patient needs to be involved in treatment options. My job is to give the patient reasonable choices, then we decide together what treatment options or diagnostic tests to pursue. If whatever we choose is ineffective, we move on to something else.
