TCO Welcomes New Physician Dr. Kyle Morgenstern
Join us in welcoming our newest physician, Kyle D. Morgenstern, MD, to Twin Cities Orthopedics.
Dr. Morgenstern joins TCO as a Board-Eligible Orthopedic Surgeon. He completed his Orthopedic Residency at the University of Minnesota where he received the Resident Engagement Award in 2021 and the Resident Role Model Award in 2022. Dr. Morgenstern specializes in joint replacement of the knee, hip, and shoulder along with treatment of meniscal injuries, rotator cuffs, hand conditions, trauma, and ligament and tendon tears. He values patient autonomy and encourages every patient to be part of the decision-making process to achieve shared goals.

What are a few interesting facts that people may not know about you?
I played my guitar on the streets of Nashville while in medical school, donating the tips to “Little Kids Rock,” a non-profit organization that provides instruments to children in need.
Why did you go into medicine?
I went into medicine to have a positive, tangible impact on the world. There are a lot of impactful careers out there, but the ability to see that difference in your patients every day is what drew me to medicine.
How did you choose Orthopedics?
I chose Orthopedics because I wanted to make the biggest difference in the shortest amount of time possible. There are very few fields where you have such an immediate impact.
What is your care philosophy?
Patient autonomy is first and foremost. It is my role to first assess and diagnose, then inform patients about the various treatment options available to them. By including the patient in the development of their care plan, we are able to work together to determine the most effective treatment to meet their goals.
What does your dream practice look like?
My dream practice is a dynamic practice where I can see patients with a variety of orthopedic concerns, be supported by collegial partners, and work in a group with the resources and infrastructure to take care of patients in an efficient and effective manner.
Dr. Morgenstern will practice at TCO’s Chaska, Le Sueur and Waconia locations.
