I was in a pain that slowly, over time became intolerable. Getting out of bed in the morning each day was a challenge. I wanted to take walks but I wasn’t able to. I could have waited like most people do, but I have a whole lot of living to do. It didn’t take me long to decide to let Dr. Mair and his team change my future. Is the surgery difficult? Yes. The first few weeks were very hard. But my reward is no pain at 9 weeks post-surgery! My leg is straighter! I look forward to many long walks, and for a very long time! I am 56 years old and I have degenerative arthritis in both knees. I look forward to getting the next one replaced. My advice is don’t wait.

In January 2022, I was in a motor vehicle accident that caused a C6 fracture in my neck. I was able to get in with Dr. Omar in a timely manner and was very impressed! He is a very friendly doctor and explained everything to us. He showed us my x-rays and explained things in a way that I understood. Thank you so much.

After an accident falling on my knee, Dr. Hunt knew almost immediately what the subsequent MRI was going to reveal, simply from physical examination and discussion of my symptoms. The MRI confirmed EXACTLY what he predicted, and what the meniscus repair surgery would entail. His explanations and recommendations were so clear and concise that my confidence in the procedure was total. After the surgery, by following the recommended rest/ice/elevate therapy for 2 days, my knee was totally pain-free and ready for gradual return to normal. I first met Dr. Saterbak back in 1997. At that time she scoped my knee for a cartilage/meniscus tear. She did a wonderful job but naturally, after time wore off, I developed more knee pain. Just recently I came back to TCO, seeking help from Dr. Saterbak since my primary care physician told me I needed a total knee replacement. There wasn’t anyone else I wanted to do this for me but Dr. Saterbak. I’m now on the road to full recovery thanks to a wonderful doctor and friend!

A year ago on March 29, 2021 I broke the femur bone in my left leg. I have dealt with polio since I was a child, so I have severe disabilities relating to that disease. Because of polio and osteoporosis, my bones are quite soft and we weren’t sure if the break would heal properly. Dr. Ockuly performed surgery, adding a plate and pins in my leg. He advised me not to put any weight on it until he felt it was safe to do so. The break has healed and I’m able to walk again. Dr. Ockuly is very knowledgeable and competent. He followed my progress routinely and now, a year later, I’m doing great and getting around just fine. I highly recommend him if you have an injury that needs the attention of a highly qualified orthopedic doctor. He’s an all-around very caring and informative person. I told him I’m able to walk again because of him, and will forever be thankful for that.

The entire process was done with excellent communication and great care throughout. Physical therapy is a must. The highly trained staff crafted and executed a rehabilitation program that met and exceeded my expectations. The counseling also relieved a lot of stress, when certain aches and pains were noted as a part of the typical healing process. They are an awesome group of very talented and thorough professionals. They communicate very well between the surgery team, the after care, and the therapy teams. The bonus is that the scar is hardly noticeable. I would highly recommend Twin Cities Orthopedics, Dr. Christopher Meyer, and team.

Dr. Hoel‘s diagnosis for a bulging disc, causing leg pain in both of my legs, was spot on. He recommended a minimally invasive surgery (decompression) of L4/L5. The surgery was great and my leg pain was completely gone in 2 weeks! He is the only surgeon in my 65 years that ever personally called me the day after to see how I was doing. I would highly recommend Dr. Hoel to anyone with back issues. He is great!

I am sending extreme gratitude for the Dr. Adam Michalik’s team, who performed my procedure. The difference in my ability to move without pain after so many years has been profound. Thank you really does not do it.

The anterior hip surgery with Dr. Arntson was so great! I couldn’t believe how fast I was able to walk with a cane (1.5 weeks then went to cane). After 5 weeks I’m doing everything on my own. Can’t say enough goo things about his care and concern. Would recommend him highly!

Dr. Comfort did an excellent job navigating the right course of action, involving a very difficult diagnosis of my back/hip issue. He determined a hip replacement was not the right course of action, which likely saved me a lot of pain and recovery time on what could have been an unnecessary operation.
