In October of 2014, I was rear-ended by a person who was distracted by his phone. Immediately I had neck and shoulder pain from the trauma. After months of treatment at Twin Cities Orthopedics on my shoulder, the pain continued and I was losing feeling in my right arm more frequently. After an MRI, I was diagnosed with a herniated disc in CS/C6 area of my cervical spine. I was referred to Dr. Deal for treatment. He spent a lot of time with me trying to avoid surgery (injections, physical therapy) but in the end surgery was needed. He worked within my schedule of upcoming international travel to get the surgery done and have me healed enough to travel.
Dr. Deal did a fantastic job with my surgery. I had instant pain relief from the surgery and needed very little pain medication. His staff and the nurses at the MN Valley Surgical Center were incredible. Dr. Deal spends the necessary time with you at all appointments to answer questions and also make sure that you are healing appropriately.
I would highly recommend him to anyone with Spine issues.

I wanted to send a thank you to Dr. Lervick and his team on behalf of my son, Jordan. He had surgery in October to repair a torn labrum and with the great care and rehab provided by Dr. Lervick and staff, including the recommended PT, Paul Breyen, Jordan is back doing what he loves best, playing baseball! He is playing on the Freshman A-team at Burnsville and was the starting pitcher at the first game. We didn’t know if we would get to this point last fall, and we couldn’t be happier with the care and treatment he received to help him get to this point. Thanks again!

Dr. Marek and his team have given me reasons to “keep it all working!” I’ve had many surgeries with Dr. Dan and his team, and I’m forever grateful for their excellent care, encouragement and friendship. I have complete faith in him and feel truly blessed to call him my orthopedic doctor, Dr. Dan!

I had problems with my knee for some time. St. Croix Orthopedics provided knee care, keeping me as pain free as possible. I knew that knee replacement was going to necessary at some point. I am glad that I was under the care of Dr. Peterson when the time came to have my knee replaced. I was very pleased with the professional manner and the care I received while working with him. He took the time to make sure I was well prepared and understood the surgery procedure before my knee replacement. His nurse assistant was very helpful making sure we had all my other health issues addressed that were going on with my life at the time so the surgery could happen as scheduled. The surgery went very well. Dr. Peterson did an excellent job. My recovery was short, was back to work in six weeks, and golfing shortly after that. I have no pain in the knee and I am very pleased with the outcome. I would recommend Dr. Peterson to anyone who is having knee pain and requiring a doctor’s care.

My surgery was months ago and I am so pleased with how well my feet have healed! My bunion pain is gone, I can hike and I no longer have foot or leg pain. I can even wear shoes that used to cause extreme pain due to the bunions. The scars have healed really well, and the added bonus is that my feet look really nice. Swimming twice a week has really helped my recovery process. With my feet back to normal now, I tend to forget that I even had surgery. I wish I had heard of Dr. Coetzee years ago. He knows what he is doing!

What I liked most about Dr. Diekmann was his concern for me and his very pleasant manner.
It’s not easy to hear that one has a serious problem when one is expecting that the torn meniscus is the problem, which it is not, but rather osteoarthritis in the joint of the knee.

In February 2015, I was suffering severe pain from my lower back down to my feet in both legs and was in need of relief. That’s when I was referred to Dr. Deal and will be forever grateful. He diagnosed my problem after x-rays and a CT scan (I cannot have MRIs), explained his diagnosis in detail along with a plan. I was scheduled for surgery within a week; my problem was between L4-L5; he scraped away the arthritis and took out two cysts and placed a rod between L4-L5. Within 48 hours after surgery, I no longer experienced any pain in my back or legs. I could not believe it; it was so much more than I ever expected.

I would highly recommend Dr. Deal for anyone needing spinal surgery. He is competent, thorough and compassionate, everything you want in a surgeon.

I received a rotator cuff repair from Dr. Peterson in November, 2015. It was my second one on the left shoulder, and my eighth one total between both sides. I feel like this one was my most successful yet. My recovery time was the shortest of all of my other surgeries to this point, and my physical therapy was very abbreviated, due to the excellent job that Dr. Peterson performed on my shoulder. I would highly recommend him to anyone thinking of undergoing this procedure.

I am a current Twin Cities Orthopedics patient and am scheduled for a total knee arthroplasty in late April.  I want you to know how impressed I am with Dr. Joseph Teynor and his team, Austin Heneman, PA-/C and Care Coordinator Andrea Jacobsen.  Being the husband of a recently retired physician I understand the time pressure that is put on physicians in today’s economy and practice.  Dr. Teynor has given me a great sense of confidence in the upcoming surgery.  The follow through by Dr. Teynor and his team is timely and flawless. His concern for my surgical outcome is remarkable.

Both I and my wife, Rachel Trockman, M.D., have had other joints replaced  by Twin Cities Orthopedics physicians.  Without question we have been totally satisfied with all levels of care that we have received.  We are cheerleaders for the professionalism and responsiveness of your organization.

I don’t know how to even begin to thank you for all you have done for my father and for my family. You are an amazing team that has made all the difference in my father’s future and his quality of life. It is Easter Sunday and I am watching him walk down the driveway like the father I haven’t seen in well over a year. Words cannot describe the happiness that I see as I watch him today.  He has his independence back and he is getting stronger daily. He is an incredible man and I thank you for the additional moments and memories I get to have with him because of all of you.

It has been a very long journey, and I cannot begin to tell you how much I appreciate all of your ongoing efforts throughout the process.  From taking on his case so quickly, to the first visit, the surgery, the complications, the follow up visits and now the final outcome.  You have all made such a difference and I don’t know how to truly thank you for what you have done.  I can only tell you that you are truly special and you do something that is wonderful, you make a difference in people’s lives every day.  Please know that while you do this daily, you are not the “norm” that we see all too often in healthcare these days.  You are a very special team that combines an incredible skill set with professionalism, excellent care, and true compassion.  That combination is very unique.
