I have battled turf toe, arthritis in a specific joint and dealt with chronic pain for 18 months. After hearing I might need surgery I visited Dr. Langer and learned my issues are reasonably straightforward to manage and am not in a position where surgery is even a consideration – yay! I like his openness to listen and work with you. His support staff seems cut from the same cloth. He helped me prepare for a trip the following day and gave me confidence on how to limit and manage any pain from walking. I am a now a believer that a podiatrist is the only specialist to visit for foot ails and think I got lucking finding Dr. Langer.

Dr. Arntson and staff have been Fantastic, the nursing staff ( Fridley, CR, Otsego) have been so kind and comforting through this tough surgery and recovery process, including the X-ray & MRI techs. Kristin, Dr. Arntson assistant has been so kind and helpful making sure I don’t miss any appts. I would highly recommend Dr. Arntson to anyone for ACL surgery he is very transparent and truly cares about his patients.

I had a total knee replacement in Jan and then in June for my other knee. I was very pleased with the surgery and the care I received from Dr. Meisterling and his team. Before surgery, I used to survive the pain by taking 5 ibuprofen at a time, often twice a day. I can’t even tell you now the last time I took one pill! It’s so amazing to be able to bend my knees again. Going up and down stairs is so much easier since surgery. It’s great to be able to walk and not shuffle. I can even stomp snow off my shoes now….couldn’t do that for a few years before surgery. Thanks, Dr. Meisterling & staff!

Dr. Gesensway is an outstanding orthopedic hand surgeon.  I had been experiencing pain in my hands and numbness in my arms, becoming progressively worse.  He spent time with me prior to surgery, evaluating my symptoms and determining the need for not only the carpal tunnel release, but also the lacertus fibrosus release (specifically for the arm numbness and thumb weakness).  I had both surgeries performed (4 months apart) and received IMMEDIATE POSTOPERATIVE RELIEF (in the OR) of the numbness and weakness. Dr. Gesensway is an outstanding physician, highly skilled and knowledgeable, with great bedside manner.  I would recommend his care highly.

Playing football my senior year was very important to me. Tearing the labrum in my right shoulder was not a part of my plan. Dr. Hess spent a lot of time talking with my mom and I about the pro’s and con’s of physical therapy vs. surgery. As I made the decision to have surgery, Dr. Hess was always checking on me, answering all my questions, and explaining the recovery process. He always made me feel like I was his #1 priority. He understood the uniqueness of my situation and my desire to play football again. Dr. Hess gave me hope when so many others told me I would never play again. Joining my teammates on the field halfway through my senior season has been a dream come true! Dr. Hess made it possible for me to play a game I love a few more times. Thank you!

On Sept. 29 2016, I underwent a total hip replacement. From the time I started seeing Dr. Mair until the day of surgery, I totally felt at ease & very comfortable. I’m no longer having the pain I had prior to surgery. I’m still in recovery mode but it’s getting better every day. I would totally recommend TCO and Dr. Mair!

Dr. Hess is an outstanding physician who poured his heart and soul into taking great care of our student athletes! In addition to serving as a team orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Hess devoted his personal time to attend various events and competitions. He earned the trust and love of every staff member, parents, and student athlete at LRHS. In the Lower Richland Community, when we think of Dr. Hess, we think of trust, availability, clinical excellence, and most of all, family. You won’t find a more passionate person and physician than Dr. Hess!

I had a hip replacement over 6 years ago and have had problems with the hip ever since.  I went to about ten different orthopedic surgeons to try and figure out what was wrong and nobody could figure out what the problem was.  I went to Dr. O’Neill and he determined what the problem was and performed a hip revision in April 2016.  I still have a little muscle soreness but the hip is much improved from before.  Unfortunately, I was unable to have the anterior approach performed but a number of people I know did have that procedure with Dr. O’Neill and they had excellent results.  Also, the staff at North Memorial were superb.

I had my right hip replaced by Dr. Sanders. He did an excellent job. My recovery has exceeded my expectations. I am going to have my left hip replaced as soon as possible. I feel great.

I’m a 52 year old woman who has spent my entire life working on my feet. Either as a restaurant server, to manager and most recently a freelance makeup artist. So it wasn’t surprising that I started having knee pain years ago. I tried the usual; massage, ice, heat, tons of Advil, glucosamine & chondroitin. Finally I knew it was time to have an orthopedic surgeon take a look at them. After having X-rays done, my worse fear came true. I was bone on bone in both knees. I had outlived my knees. I was very shook up. I decided to try cortisone shots and after the first time I felt like a new woman. I thought, “ok I can do this. Yes I have to have surgery, but I can put it off for awhile”, well the 3 months went by and my knees were feeling bad again so I went in for another cortisone shot. This time, nothing! It didn’t help at all. I met with Dr. Holm and confirmed I would need surgery. After speaking to him for a bit, I knew he was the doctor I wanted to do my surgery. I liked his upbeat attitude and his overall confidence. I cannot express my gratitude enough in Dr. Holm. After listening to a few well-meaning friends, I took my husband with me to see Dr. Holm again. I needed my husband to help me understand that all options were off the table, and that if I wanted the quality of life I had been missing I would have to do the bilateral knee replacement. Dr. Holm was very patient and kind to once again explain what the surgery would entail. So October 11, 2016 I was admitted to Fairview Ridges hospital for my surgery. I was a basket case. Every single person I came into contact with was exemplary! They alleviated all the stress and fear that I was feeling. The surgery went extremely well. Dr. Holm confirmed that my knees were a mess! So after 4 nights at Ridges (where my nurses and PT personnel were fantastic!)  I was sent home. I am so pleased to announce that I am recovering quickly. It’s been 24 days and I am walking without a walker. Going up and down stairs (slowly), but never in my wildest dreams did I think I’d be where I am right now. I cannot express my absolute gratitude to Dr. Jason Holm, his PA Jamie & care coordinator Kelly! They have been there for every question, concern that I have had. I highly recommend that anyone considering surgery that they choose Dr. Holm and his team! So thank you once again, Dr. Holm, Jamie, and Kelly! You truly are the best!
