I could be the poster “child.” My pain before my hip replacement was 9 on a 10-point scale. I was using a walker and could barely do daily tasks. Could find no pain relief.
Dr. Owen O’Neill was able to fit me in sooner than normal. Everything about the protocol, the team, the pre-surgery instructions, the precautions to prevent infection or blood clots, the educational session and the strengthening exercises were extremely helpful. In the recovery room and back in the hospital room, my pain was at a 1 or 2—insignificant compared to before surgery. No opioids. I walked at the arboretum 6 days later (with walker), quit the walker after 11 days. Life is great. Although I’m not supposed to run long distance, I’m back at yoga and walking up to 4 miles daily. I would and have recommended Dr. O’Neill to others.
