For many years I suffered with lower back pain. After many sessions with my chiropractor she recommended I get a MRI done to determine what was going on with my back. Of course I waited so long that the pain was shooting down my left leg. The MRI showed I had a bulging disc. Dr. Deal was recommended from a good friend of mine. Dr. Deal is caring, knowledgeable and talks in terms anyone can understand. I’m very thankful for the work Dr. Deal did on my back, I’m pain free.

I’m 73 yrs of age and have reached that time in my life where going up and down stairs have made my life considerably difficult for me. One adjustment made was to move into a town house, where everything is on one level. That adjustment helped but many more decisions had to be made. My wife who was a patient at St Croix Ortho in Woodbury suggested making an appointment to be examined. She was completely satisfied with what they were able to do for her and believe me she had some serious issues. I called to make an appointment and was told that because of where I lived I should make an appointment Twin City Ortho in Wyoming and they gave me the number to make that contact. This was the best move I’ve made in solving my issues with hips and knees. I called and made an appointment to get checked out . I can’t say enough for the professionalism showed me from day one starting with the scheduling staff after a brief period filling out personal data I was introduce to Dr.Erik Peterson’s assistant Christine and Molly. They without a doubt made the up coming surgeries so much easier. Their show of concern had such a calming effect on me, which at this point I really needed. Then I met Dr. Erik Peterson. The professional manner in which things were explained to me and what to expected set me at ease right from the start. I had two surgeries first the hip which was a huge success, all because Dr. Peterson is an excellent surgeon who cares not only for the patient but for the family members involved, all praised him very highly… the hip was such a success I was ready to have a knee on the same side, which was in terrible condition and ready for a replacement. This also was handled in the same manner as the hip and nothing but praise for everyone. The hospital staff, and floor nurses especially who attended me made me feel as though I was the only person on the floor, a difficult job done made easy. Dr. Peterson made his rounds checking on me, the knee and the hip during his rounds. Once again he made sure the family were at ease with all of this. After a short hospital stay I started therapy, again this was at the Twin City Orthopedics , in Wyoming. This is where I met Nicole who moved me through some very difficult moments with ease , she too is very professional and made this job a lot more pleasant. I wish to thank Dr. Peterson, because of his skill as a surgeon for giving an old man a few more years of pain free moments He is a credit to his profession. Christine and Molly I can’t say to much for you both. A time when things were not so good you made a pleasure to come in for my visits. Thank you all very much, I’ll never forget you, I mean it, you left a lasting impression on me….To all of you don’t ever change the way you work with people Remember there is always someone like me out there who needs you….

I have had several shots in my hand to fight off a repeat trigger finger. It finally hit the stage where the finger remained troublesome and quite painful all the time. My rheumatologist advised that and I should seek surgery to correct the problem.
I was impressed with the third floor facility there in Edina, MN and the staff serving patients is top notch! Dr. Mark Urban completed the surgery, the ring finger is now free and soon the stitches will be out.

In 2000 I ruptured a lumbar disk. After putting up with pain in the back and down my legs, and periods of time where I would be incapacitated because my back would “go out” with no notice I saw Dr. Holte and on analysis of my MRI he determined there was a bulge that was touching my spinal cord. He did a Microdiscetomy, and removed a solidified piece of disk fluid. While the surgery was not for the purpose of repair of the disk degeneration that had occurred due to the rupture and while I still have to limit activity, it did stop the pain in the legs and incidences of the back “going out.” I have not had one of those incidences in the 16 years since the surgery.

I am a 52 yr. old who suffered a meniscus tear on my right knee while working out. I just had knee artroscopy surgery and am extremely pleased with the results. I was able to bear weight on my leg immediately. I had minimal to no pain. I was back to walking around lake Calhoun within days. I recommend Dr. Arntson very highly.

I had my second Birmingham hip resurfacing surgery done by Dr. David Palmer just this past May. I was so pleased with the patient care that I received but most of all with Dr. Palmer. I cannot believe how good I feel now just 7 weeks post op. I tend to be an active person and my job is an active job being the Ski coach here at NMU. I am on my feet most of the fall and winter, testing skis and standing for hours on end at the wax table. Before my hip resurfacing it was difficult to even tie my ski boots and get in and out of ski bindings. I feel almost reborn, tying shoes and getting in and out of bindings is now longer an issue, I’m only 7 weeks post op and getting on my road bike and biking feels awesome! I feel so fortunate to have this healthy feeling once again and to be able to be active again with biking and skiing and walking my dogs feels awesome. I can think about starting to run in about another 6 months, trail running is something I have not been able to do for a long time, I won’t be as fast as I once was but I really don’t care, it will just be an awesome feeling to be able to explore new trails once again and skiing for sure this winter will be once again a pleasure to do, this next season i won’t need help getting my bindings on or off, YES! I would recommend to all and anyone to see Dr. Palmer, he’s just an awesome guy!

See you on the trails!
