Ashley Takekawa, PT, DPT, ATC, is a lower-extremity specialized therapist with a special interest in working with athletes of all kinds, particularly dancers, gymnasts, hockey, and soccer players. She is an expert in treatment of the hip, including both surgical and non-surgical hip issues. Her treatment approach is very hands-on utilizing various manual therapy techniques including soft tissue releasing, joint mobilizations, and dry needling. She has extensive training in the Functional Manual Therapy method through the Institute of Physical Art. Ashley was a dancer and soccer player for over two decades, so she understands what it takes return to activities after injuries.
In her spare time, Ashley enjoys playing volleyball and golf, practicing yoga and Pilates, weight training, and spending time with her husband, son, and dog.
