Deborah Lensing, PT, DPT, OCS, is a board-certified orthopedic specialist with 20 years of experience in sports medicine and orthopedics, specializing in both surgical and non-surgical injury treatment. Her passion is in helping active individuals and athletes recover from injuries and return to their active lifestyles, whether through weightlifting, group fitness classes, weekend warriors or competitive sports and encouraging these individuals to self-refer to physical therapy at the onset of injuries.
Before joining TCO’s Waconia Therapy and Sports Performance Center, Deborah worked at the Institute for Athletic Medicine and Life Clinic within Lifetime Fitness. Her four years at Lifetime Fitness she collaborated with both chiropractic and personal training to help a diverse range of patients, from fitness enthusiasts to competitive athletes, tailoring treatment plans to their unique needs. While at TCO- she has spent time working at Waconia High School working closely with athletic training to assist in helping student-athletes safely return to play as quickly as possible.
With advanced training in running mechanics and gait analysis, Deborah has a passion for helping injured runners. She owned and operated Waconia Moms on the Run for 10 years (2015-2025), fostering a community of active women dedicated to fitness which included running and strength training. Additionally, she is certified in dry needling and integrates this technique with other manual therapy methods to address muscle tightness, tendinopathies and other issues related to overuse injuries.
Deborah lives in the Waconia area with her husband and two daughters. In her free time, she enjoys spending time doing lake activities and being a super fan and supporting her teenage daughters in their various sporting activities.
